  • Villa Mera is a part of the KaliMera Villas collection. This 160 sq. m stone-built residence is located in the Adelianos Kampos area, within walking distance of the beach, tavernas, and various amenities. The interior of the villa exudes a traditional charm, with accents of stone and wood throughout. Villa Mera features three bedrooms and can comfortably accommodate up to six guests in beds.



    You won't need to rent a car during your stay as everything you might need is within walking distance from the villa. Additionally, you can find a wide range of entertainment options such as bars, cafes, and restaurants in the nearby area of Platanias, which is only a 5-minute drive from the villa. The vibrant center of Rethymno is just a 10-minute drive away.



    Layout



    Ground Floor:

    The ground floor of Villa Mera consists of an open area that includes the living room and kitchen. The living room is equipped with a 32” TV with Netflix, a comfortable corner sofa, a Bluetooth speaker, and a fireplace. Large glass doors in the living room provide access to the pool and the outdoor dining area. There is also a spacious, fully equipped kitchen with a dining table. One of the three bedrooms is located on the ground floor. This air-conditioned bedroom features a double bed (1.40 x 2.00), AC, closet, TV, and direct access to the pool area. Additionally, there is a bathroom with a shower and a washing machine on this level.



    First Floor:

    Wooden stairs lead you to the other two charming bedrooms of the villa, both with vaulted wooden ceilings. One bedroom contains two single beds (0.90 x 2.00), AC, closet, and TV. The other bedroom also has two single beds (0.90 x 2.00), AC, closet, TV, and a large balcony with sea views. Finally, there is a bathroom with a bathtub on this level.

    The Platanias area, where you can find various entertainment options such as bars, cafes, nightclubs, and beach bars, is less than 5 minutes away by car or bus.

    The hospitable owners have extensive knowledge of the island and will provide helpful advice and information whenever needed.

    In the adjacent Maravel Hotel, a buffet breakfast is available at an extra cost (7 euros per person). Guests can also use the tennis court and table tennis free of charge.

Great villa with lovely garden a pool. Easy walk to variety of restaurants, and beach. Yolanda was great and any small issues were sorted straight away.

Wonderful host and venue.

Excellent service in helping me find the property, showed me round the place and was very friendly and welcoming. Gave me lots of good recommendations. Flexible checkout and also very helpful when I called with questions regarding the property. I noticed that there were mosquito repellent cartridges in the drawers, but I wasn't aware of them until a few days in. I think they're really useful so it would be a great feature to highlight upon arrival.

Fantastic villa for a family with children

The villa is very nice and clean, with big and well maintained garden and swimming pool - great place to stay with kids and enjoy holidays. The owners are super-nice and helpful - great hospitality. Good location - close to beautiful Rethymno, there are beaches and nice restaurants in a walking distance. Great place! It is sometimes a bit noisy because of the hotel close to the villa - there are some pool parties there in the evenings and sometimes they get quite loud.

Thank you for our wonderful stay

Lovely Yolanda was on hand throughout our trip for whatever we needed! The pool was heated to a perfect temperature, the pool and gardens were well maintained. If anything went wrong (such as our kids getting sick), Yolanda was only a message or phone call away to offer a helping hand. The area is great also. We had a wonderful trip, thank you!

Great house in a great location. Very private but still only a very short walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. Wonderful pool area. Well equipped kitchen. The house is a little worn and the bathrooms slightly muggy, but that didn’t really bother us. The beds being too hard was the only thing that was a little bit of an issue.All in all though, we had a fantastic stay and were well taken care of by the lovely host Yolanda who was always ready to help and suggest trips, restaurants etc. I can definitely recommend this house.

Lage war sehr gut gelegen. Nicht weit zum Meer und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Rasen mähen bevor Besuch kommt Pool reinigen evtl während des Aufenthalt prüfen ob PH Wert passt Villa war leider nicht sauber Villa sehr alt in die Jahre gekommen was man an den Matratzen bemerkte Leider wenig Sitzmöglichkeiten für Chillen in der Villa Bäder dringend renovierungsbedürftig

Loved our stay at Villa Mera, everything we needed was here. We were welcomed by the gorgeous Yolanda, who had left beers, water and wine in the fridge for us as well as tea and coffee. The villa is a good size and very homey. There’s aircon in every room. The garden is very private and beautiful with all the planting and the pool is lovely. The views from the balcony are very special. Yolanda gave us lots of recommendations for how to get around, we had taxi numbers, she organised a discount for parasailing and she checked on us throughout the week too. Everyone in this area is really nice and friendly. The shingle beach is 10 mins walk, and if you don’t have a car it was 15 taxi into Rethymno town. Lots of shops and restaurants here also.

Really lovely villa with everything you might need.

Lovely property for a family in a super location. You can walk to the beach and also to a few tavernas and shops. The pool is a perfect size and it was well equipped with sun loungers and chairs. The hotel nearby was great for us as we used their tennis courts. You can hear the French entertainers but it is not invasive and you do get quiet times. Our host was excellent and gave us lots of useful tips. The only thing I can say is that the bathrooms could do with an upgrade but they are perfectly useable - just felt a little tired and some of the lighting needs replacing. Don't let this put you off - it is a great villa in a great place.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful traditional villa in Crete and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and authentic holiday experience. The villa itself was full of charm and character, beautifully maintained, and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The pool was refreshing and clean.The house was well equipped, with plenty of towels, crockery, kitchen essentials, and constant hot water, which made everything so easy and comfortable.Everything we needed was within walking distance, including shops, restaurants, and local amenities, so there was absolutely no need for a car. It made the whole holiday feel effortless and stress-free. The old town of Rethimno was a short taxi ride away. Yolanda our host was incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely thoughtful throughout our stay. Communication was outstanding - she replied to every message almost instantly and couldn’t do enough to help us. One of the kindest touches was that she personally went to the grocery store with our shopping list before our arrival to prepare a welcome pack with everything we needed. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made us feel at home immediately.We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and highly recommend it to others.

Brilliant Stay

After a stuttering start with no air con in one of the bedrooms which took 4 days to remedy, we had a brilliant stay at the villa. The villa is well located to a no.of restaurants, bars and small selection of shops/supermarkets and a 5-minute stroll to the local beach. Our rep, Yolanda, was lovely and checked on us regularly via text to ensure we were happy with everything. We also had the added bonus of the owner allowing us to stay in the villa on our last day until 5pm when our taxi was due to collect us for free so thank you to the owner and the management team for that. The only niggly thing I would say and it is only a MINOR one is that the bathrooms and kitchen could do with a little updating but that's all. On the whole the villa is definitely worth a visit and I would not hesitate to come back again. Thank you Rethmyno and Kali Mera Villas for a wonderful stay.

Lovely Villa but unloved and a bit tatty

Villa is a lovely stone built building with a good layout Location good Iro looked after us extremely well. She gave us lots of tips and ideas of things to do on the island and was very quick to respond to us when we needed her We were disjointed as the whole Villa needs some attention as everything is old, tatty & very unloved Things kept breaking or were already broken or missing (light bulbs, curtain poles, drawer front, bed knobs, kitchen sink plug, kettle, dishwasher, plumbing in the bathroom etc etc) Some of the smaller items we needed were not provided at first, although they were when we asked for them like tea towels, wash cloths, plug for kitchen sink etc Cleaner didn’t come at all and our bedding & towels were not replaced after 4 days as promised on the website The bathrooms in particular need to be replaced. The hotel next door plays a lot of loud music which we didn’t mind too much but some people would

Beautiful villa so close to the beach

We loved our experience at the villa for our family reunion. Beautiful house, amazing pool area, proximity to the beach which was a dealbreaker for us! We spent a relaxing vacation here and will remember our experience forever. The host and owner were always available for any questions and concerns, really super welcoming and accommodating. Recommend! Some little details - doors needs a bit adjusting to close properly without making much noise, the shower downstairs would appreciate a facelift :) and animators from the Maravel hotel can be less loud at times, but these are really minor concerns compared to the beauty of the place!
