This was such a lovely property with so many amenities, we really could’ve just stayed on site the entire week. The furniture is comfortable and the kitchen is well-stocked. The kids (ages 6-17) spent hours in the pool, and were so enamored with the resident mama cat and kittens that they barely even used the basketball hoop or ping pong table! The large great room and patio table made family dinners very enjoyable no matter where we decided to eat., and the sunsets were amazing. The only “complaint” anyone had was that the nearby roads weren’t very conducive to going on walks or runs (only an issue for the runner in our group;). Einzig in der Küche gibt es ein paar Mängel: Kühlschrank - Schublade kaputt Ofen: Blech sollte sauber sein:-) grosse Salatschüssel fehlt (Villa für 8 Personen) Die Villa wäre total ruhig gelegen - jedoch in unserer Zeit Sept/Okt 2021bellten Abends die Hunde rundherum. Die Villa liegt wunderschön, sehr ruhig gelegen, schöne Aussicht und doch nah an Rethymno und auch nicht soweit von Chania. Die Eigentümerin hat uns freundlich empfangen und gut während der Woche betreut. Einzig das Thema mit dem bellenden Hund in der Nacht hatten wir auch, unbedingt regeln, dann wird der Hund weiter oben im Nachbargrundstück untergebracht. Die Villa ist sehr ruhig etwas abseits vom Trubel gelegen. Man benötigt ein Auto und ist in wenigen Minuten in Rethymnon mit sehr guter touristischer Infrastruktur oder an verschiedenen Stränden. Die Einrichtung der Villa ist sehr geschmackvoll, der Pool schön groß und die Ausstattung wie beschrieben. Wer für 8 - 10 Personen oft aufwändiger kochen möchte muss improvisieren aber für normale, schnelle Urlaubsküche reicht es vollkommen. Ansonsten ist alles da und man muss nicht sofort losrennen und Spüli ect. kaufen. Das kleine Gemüsegärtchen am Haus war sehr praktisch, wenn man ein paar frische Tomaten oder ein paar Kräuter zwischendurch benötigt hat. Die Besitzerin hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und war auch immer erreichbar wenn wir Hilfe benötigten. Die Agentur etouri hat uns super betreut. Gerne hätten wir auch ein paar Ausflüge gebucht aber wir hatten unser Auto und waren sehr viel auf eigene Faust unterwegs. A pleasant stay at a well-equiped house with an amazing view. ##### Greet M. ### 10/10 Excellent #### Raphael F., Schweiz Oct 15, 2019 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Luxuriöse Familienunterkunft Der Kontakt sowohl mit der Agentur (etouri), als auch mit der Besitzerin (Emilia) war von Anfang an und durchgängig sehr gut und kundenfreundlich. Die Agentur hatte uns einen Mietwagenverleih vermittelt, mit dem wir sehr gut gefahren sind. Ausserdem wurden wir auch sonst sehr gut betreut und immer ernst genommen. Was bis jetzt leider noch in keinem Review erwähnt wurde, ist, dass die Villa sehr ländlich gelegen und von Landwirtschaft umgeben ist. Das Erwachen am Morgen war jeweils sehr idyllisch mit krähendem Hahn und bimmelnden Schafglöckchen. Leider werden aber die benachbarten Grundstücke von Hunden bewacht. Einer davon war ziemlich nah am Schlafzimmerfenster und hat uns in der Nacht zu Beginn des Aufenthaltes geweckt. Dank Emilias Einsatz wurde der Hund dann aber verlegt, so dass wir besser schlafen konnten. Wir wurden also sehr ernst genommen und unser Anliegen wurde rasch erledigt. Zum ersten Mal gibt es in einem Haus eine Poolheizung, die sich lohnt! Der verlangte Betrag am Tag für den Strom ist zwar etwas auf der teuren Seite, dafür ist der Pool auch tatsächlich schön warm! Das hatten wir noch nie bei einem Ferienhaus. Für uns das Highlight am Haus, da das Wetter im Herbst doch unbeständig sein kann und man auf Kreta immer grosse Strecken fahren muss, um irgendwohin zu kommen. Erfreut haben wir uns auch an den auf dem Grundstück lebenden Katzen. Speziell die zwei kleinen waren zwar extrem scheu, aber sehr süss! Ansonsten darf man dem Inserat glauben. Das Haus ist sehr gross mit 5 Schlafzimmern und 5 Badezimmern. Klima gibts überall. WLAN hatten wir auch schon besseres in Ferienhäusern, die Geschwindigkeit dürfte da noch besser sein und die Küche dürfte für Selbstkocher noch mehr Ausrüstung haben. ##### Raphael F. Haus, Zimmer, Bäder und die offene Küche sind einfach toll. Der Blick aufs Meer grandios. Die Villa ist mit so viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und Emilia die Inhaberin hat einfach alles getandamit wir uns zuhause fühlen. Tolle Betten, feine Bettwäsche, Pool Tücher, und sogar für die Liegen am Pool wurden innerhalb 1 Stunde Auflagen organisiert. Es war eine grandiose Woche! We had the pool heated which was great as we had two small children and there is plenty of space inside including a whole ground floor 2 bed studio with wine cellar!! Car is essential as there is no shops/restaurants etc within walking distance however these are only around 5-10 minutes drive away and worth the visit. Jul 13, 2019 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### June 2019 Family Reunion Our family reunion group enjoyed a very pleasant one week stay at Villa Delfini in late June 2019\. The Villa has a beautiful setting and a very functional outdoor patio pool area. The owner Mrs Emilia was gracious, kind, welcoming, and responded very promptly to several minor house maintenance issues that occurred during our stay. In addition the etouri team of Kostas and Robert provided us with a host of very useful information and were always available to provide any assistance needed. Everything described and promised in the rental description was accurate and delivered. Our group of 10 adults was a bit unusual in that we used the villa's kitchen and outdoor barbecue for preparing virtually all of our meals. The kitchen is adequate for light meal preparation but should be supplied with some large salad bowls, a lemon press, more kitchen towels, as well as a better set of barbecue utensils. All in all, we would not hesitate to strongly recommend Villa Delfini as a wonderful choice for a vacation stay on Crete. One member of our group described his experience to a friend who has already booked a future vacation stay for her family. ##### John N.
