Private Pier! Reel Relaxing, Real Fun On Sabine Lake We want to share our beautiful 6 year old property with guest seeking that next great adventure with family or friends. This waterfront property has a 400 foot private lighted pier with a handrail for some of the best flounder fishing, sunrises, bird watching and star gazing around. The property offers the conveniences of home and outdoor amenities that will keep you on the patio grilling, cleaning fish, or enjoy watching the barges from the ICW. We have just recently screened in the top balcony. For guest bringing a boat, the boat ramp, bait shop and convenience store is located about a half mile down the way at the end of the island. The pier is equipped with multiple fishing lights that automatically turn on from dusk to dawn. Grocery stores, the shopping mall/ center, restaurants including some of the best Cajun cuisine, sports bars and tap houses are within 15-20 minutes away. Please note that this property does have stairs. The loft also has a ladder to access. The loft may not be suitable for very small children. It is very comfortable and close to the water. My advice is bring mosquito spray for sure. The fishing pier was convenient though it seems like it has seen some better days, it is narrow and missing railings so I would be hesitant to let little ones run amok or for that matter imbibe to much because it is the ultimate sobriety test. We did catch fish even though the weather wasn’t exactly cooperative. There is a convenience store/bait shop/cafe very close and also a public fishing area if you get tired of fishing at the property. Appliances worked well, everything was clean. ##### Edward R. The trash was not picked up before or during our stay so we weren't able to set out our inside trash when it was full. Did communicate with the hostesses about the issue which I hope she was able to get taken care of for the next guests. Also, we noticed that the drawers in both bedroom's had been removed since our previous stay. That was disappointing since we had nowhere to store our clothing so we lived out of our suitcases for the 5 days we were there. This may not be an issue for some but even hotels & motels have furniture for the storage of clothing, especially when staying for a lengthy amount of time.
