The location was excellent for two reasons: (1) The house itself was in a lovely, private setting with a view. (2) We were within acceptable driving distance to Rushmore, Custer State Park, the Badlands, Hot Springs, and more. Located very conveniently off a main highway, perfect distance away to provide peace & quiet; also, no gravel road! Only one neighbor, and you’ll have plenty of space outside for games - 10 of us played kickball. The host was very responsive to our inquiries, from the booking experience through the time of our stay, and came personally to tell us of impending bad weather. To celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary, our kids, grandkids, and great grandkids all met in this lovely home for three nights. Each family had their own bedroom area and bathroom in addition to the large living room for us all to gather. The boys loved the table tennis, as well as the horse shoe pit. The large backyard was perfect to play the lawn games they brought. There was a cupboard of board games for the rainy time and tables to play them on. We were just a short drive from the Faces to watch the lighting ceremony and a short drive to a lake to fish one afternoon. We fit 10 around the large the dining room table plus 4 at a card table beside it. It was perfect for us and I highly recommend it.
