We will come back!! This B&B was in a perfect location to see all of the historic sites. The room was beautiful, the breakfast was delicious and the owners were wonderful. We had the room with a hot tub and after a day of hiking and sightseeing that was a great way to end to the day!!

Owners have an updated the property so it retains its charm, but has a modern vibe. Hosts were lovely and helpful. We enjoyed our stay! Especially loved the winery up the road and of course visit to Mt. Rushmore.

The place is what you need for relaxing time with friends or family. The hosts are amazing people, always open for help. Breakfasts are delicious buffet style , complimentary coffee and tea all day long. The place is offering variety table games, books, CDs to watch on big screen or in the room, pool table. This place is also to close proximity for dining, parks, attractions.

We took our kids to Mount Rushmore for spring break and we all fell in love with this place. If is so cozy, so beautifully decorated, so comfortable… our kids kept saying “this feels like we are at our house”. It felt so good waking up here every morning:)

the new owners didn't really want to honor my booking i booked with the old owners they were in the middle of the sale when i booked and they kept telling how good of a deal i got!! when i said i should get a discount for the restaurant and bar not being opened and that one of main reasons i book there he immediately wanted to not honor my room and put me on the street!!! that a bad feeling win you are 800 miles from home and no where to go!!!!!!!

Ed, we did in fact honor your reservation and the price for your room was increased from $169/night(previous owners discounted COVID price) to $235/night. We did a complete remodel on your room plus all new furniture, king size bed, bedding, towels etc. We still say that is a great deal and we are so sorry that you didn't agree. The restaurant was closed when you made your reservation in August of 2020 and the previous owners closed the restaurant in the year of 2019. We apologize that you didn't refer back to our website which shows that we no longer serve alcohol but there are a number of wineries and breweries within a 10 minute drive. Ed, arrived with a very bad attitude and was disrespectful upon arrival. We told him that we don't have to honor his reservation if he was going to be disruptive in our newly remodeled, family-friendly environment. The hosts/owners of this B & B are exceptional and make you feel welcome the minute you enter the door. They have done a fantastic job of renovating and updating this B & B. Our room was lovely and all the common areas were done perfectly to make guests feel welcome and appreciated. Loved our stay and would go back again in a heartbeat.

Great Place
A wonderful place to stay. The owners are awesome, helpful, and friendly. Location is near many of the things to do in black hills area. Breakfast was tasty and if you just lounge around the house, it’s totally comfortable. My brother and I used put the pool table to good use! Only downsides, My phone carrier had no service there and WiFi isn’t the greatest.

Amazing place to stay. New owners have refurbished it beautifully. The rooms have plush bath towels, and the most comfortable beds and pillows of any hotel or B&B I have visited. Such a warm and welcoming environment. Owners are the sweetest and most gracious hosts and the breakfasts are to die for. If you are in the area don't miss this wonderful place.

This property was just renovated and it is beautiful! The couple who own this B&B are very welcoming and throughout our entire stay they were friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious and different each morning. The location is central to many of the “must see” attraction in SD. Our experience here was outstanding !

The property has been totally renovated, painted and updated. Very clean. Our hosts were very friendly and hospitable. We enjoyed staying there. The location is beautiful, the hills are just lovely and restful.

Wonderful updated B&B
The bed and breakfast has been updated and has beautiful finishes with outstanding amenities, especially the bed. The breakfast was superb! The owners are doing a great job and set the bar high compared to all our other Black Hills lodging on our honeymoon. They are super friendly and very helpful. It’s around the corner from Pectola Lake, perfectly close to Hill City and Rapid City, and was the only venue where we could walk 50 yards and see the stars without light pollution.

A nice couple had recently purchased the property and have updated the rooms, lobby and patio. They did an incredible job and we felt very comfortable and often chose to hang out at the B&B instead of at a restaurant or bar. The couple were very helpful.

My girlfriend and I loved everything about this place. It was in a perfect location in the black hills, the owner was very kind and genuine, and the service was great. The breakfast in the morning’s were incredible. Will definitely be back!

This bed and breakfast was in a beautiful setting, the customer service, room, and breakfast was amazing. They even have a restaurant that serves dinner on the premises for convenience. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone visiting the black hills.

I liked the friendliness of the front desk personnel, and their willingness to cook up a good meal even though their restaurant was closed. The bedding was clean and fresh, water pressure was good and hot water was plentiful.

We stayed here because of the high ratings. When we saw the For Sale listing on the table by the check in area it became apparent that they are not investing in the property-- just maintaining it enough to get by. And they had no amenities ie, shampoo, lotion, etc that you find at B&B's these days especially at this price point!

Hi Susan.... I am very sorry that your perception is that we are not maintaining our property merely because we did not have lotion in your bathroom. The fact is we do have shampoo and conditioner in the shower in a dispenser that is eco-friendly. I personally do not like most hotel lotions and we do not like to contribute to the plastic waste problem. When I travel, I carry my own travel sized favorite with me. As for the rest of our maintenance we will always do our very best to keep our property clean and well maintained... something that is constant in a historic building such as ours. And we are selling because I had a heart attack several months ago and we want to enjoy our golden years... and travel... like you were just doing. Even after nearly 15 years in this business we cannot meet everyone's expectations but we try our hardest and will continue to do so until we are no longer doing this.

Friendly staff willing to serve in a quiet atmosphere. My only problem was the dinner with the brussels sprouts -- hard and charred. I would like to have the ability to have the choice of a different side on the meal.
