Friendly professional staff host a great little pub and offer superb dinning menu. Dinner and breakfast were outstanding. The room I occupied was well appointed with antiques and a luxurious washroom. I was in the area for business but would recommend for a romantic weekend.

Claire was by far the most incredible host I've ever had the pleasure of staying with. She was so kind and helpful and made the entire experience so enjoyable. I couldn't recommend Rook Lane House enough if you plan on coming through Frome. It's a 13 minute walk from the Frome train station, and a 5 minute walk to the "downtown" area. The homemade breakfast was also fantastic. I will definitely be staying here again if I come back!

Gorgeous room. Walkable to restaurants, Roman Baths, Cathedral.

Great location. Wonderful breakfast. Lots of charms and character.

So many of the staff we encountered were wonderfully welcoming and seemed happy to have us there. The food was of the utmost quality and even after a week, we hadn't tried all the breakfast options. On a map, the hotel appears not to be in the centre of things, and, while this is true, I was glad of it. It was usually no more than a 5-10 minute walk to anything that interested us but, beyond that, this meant we slept on a very quiet street with no exterior noise permeating the walls. This is...

This property was a great highlight of our trip, by far the best (and certainly not the most expensive) of all the accommodations we experiences on our 2-week trip around the UK.

Good location. Great staff. Parking close by.

Great location. Everywhere is very walkable. Wide range of shops and restaurants. The Gatehouse is unique and charming. The hotel staff are very nice and accommodating. Great value for money. Beds comfortable. Room very clean. Overall a great experience and the city of Wells is a must-see

The owners didn't meet us at arrival but our room was labeled when we arrived. The room was very clean and very nice. It was a little crowded for 2 adults and 2 children( aged 10 & 14) but we managed. Otherwise a very nice place and I would highly recommend it.

Very comfortable bed but pillows are not great. A lot of street noise as well. It is clean and the staff are fantastic. The breakfasts are also very good.

Fantastic night and meal. Great breakfast Owner gives undivided attention to his guests

Perfect location, staff really went the extra mile they even serve you a full breakfast while allowing you to order off the menu. Should be rated as five star. Rooms are small but cozy, the bed very comfortable. We would definitely recommend this guesthouse and would stay again and again.

It’s a nice place plus it has free parking and breakfast is included.

The canopy bed was very soft and comfortable. Everything was lovely for my Daughter and I making our overnight stay in Bath very special. The canopy bed would look better with the canopy curtains shown in the booking link. Breakfast was wonderful. Thank you
