My family and I stayed in a bunk bed room for two nights here and LOVED it. The room was on the smaller side for a family, but we didn’t mind at all. We didn’t come to Tahoe to hang out in the hotel room, although my kids really wanted to spend lots of time in their bunks! The convenience of the area is HUGE. We were able to walk to the beach/park area within about 5 minutes and there were tons of shops, restaurants, even a movie theater within 5-10 minutes walking. The firepit area and evo restaurant were great. Staff was friendly. The only (minor) downsides were that our upstairs neighbors were loud when walking around, and the indoor trash cans were very tiny. Not much to complain about though! We hope to come back soon. Thanks for a great stay!!

It was a poor stay. First I had booked the wrong day and the hotel was able to help in changing the date so I ended up paying for two days for one night. Second they wanted $18.50 on top of the two days payment to stay one night or to park my car. The breakfast appeared to be a standard hotel breakfast but they wanted $15 for it. Worst of all my room number 173 was right near an exit and beginning at six in the morning, that door would slam every time somebody left waking me up. Finally, the train tracks are right next-door and the train starts blowing its horn multiple times throughout the morning, waking me up as well. I would never stay here again.

We did our research on dog friendly hotels and The Kimpton Sawyer came up as the best and it was. The price was great and they didn’t charge any dog fees like other hotels. There were two potty locations available for the dogs which was great. The location of the hotel itself was perfect, downtown was near by for some shopping as well as many food spots. The staff was great! I was in need of some items and the front desk gave them, free of charge. I definitely was expecting to be charged so it was a nice surprise!
