The vacation apartments, located near the Lauterbach marina, attract guests with their stylish and luxurious furnishings.
They range in size from 65 to 77 m², accommodate up to 4 people, and feature a balcony. Although the apartments are located near the railroad tracks, it is generally relatively quiet here. During the summer months, Germany’s oldest narrow-gauge railway, the Rasende Roland, runs here, connecting the Baltic Sea resorts on the Mönchgut Peninsula in the southeastern part of the island (detailed information at the end of the text).
At the harbour in Lauterbach, you can spend hours watching the hustle and bustle in and around the harbour and enjoying the beautiful view across the Bodden all the way to the island of Vilm.
If you’d rather go ashore, you can also buy freshly caught fish at the harbour or treat your taste buds at one of the many restaurants.
Take your time and stroll through the little village of Lauterbach. Enjoy the beauty of the village with its maritime charm and all its picturesque thatched-roof houses, as well as small cafés and restaurants.
Nature lovers will find everything their hearts desire in Lauterbach. The surrounding area, with its many biking and hiking trails, invites you to explore the stunning landscape of the Southeast Rügen Biosphere Reserve.
The area’s mostly pristine, beautiful, and peaceful beaches also promise an unforgettable vacation by the sea.

Train traffic behind the building
During the summer months (late May through late October), the “Rasende Roland”—Rügen’s well-known and beloved narrow-gauge railway with steam locomotives—runs past the last building. Operating hours are from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. with trains running every 2 hours, so you can only enjoy this magnificent sight from time to time.
In addition, a shuttle train runs every hour between Lauterbach and Bergen, daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on weekends from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. However, this train passes by much more quietly, as it is a modern railway.
