Central location easy walking distance to malecon or las versailles. Road is cobbled and rough so not easy to cross. Close to main road for transport ie bus but not noisy. Staff is very nice and helpful. Building is authentic mexican vibe, clean and functional. Some rooms have kitchenette for longer stays. If you want an authentic mexican hotel, this would be a good choice. Lots of food options at your doorsstep.

Overall, this is a great location in Cinco de Diciembre. We are able to walk to many locations. There is an excellent restaurant with great view on site. Our only complaint was that we never seemed to find the time when shower was warm.

The room was a bear bones room. there was. only 2 towels no shampoo or other bathroom stuff. 2 Glases no water had to go to the lobby and get it from the dispencer there. Traffic noise was horible and the garbage truk kam every night at 2am to cleanu the trash on the street.

Very clean place to stay. It said maid service only once during our 7 night stay but we had someone come daily which was great. Only thing i would recommend is not to stay on the 4th floor...its too noisy when people leave the roof top restaurant. Also, would have liked to have a small fridge as well as a coffee maker in the room.

Nice old style hotel, spacious, clean and comfortable. Love the area, pool is great and has little kitchenette which is perfect for making simple breakfast at home, no need to go out.

Disappointed
Really disappointed in this hotel. Absolutely no amenities other than WiFi and parking. No TV, no toiletries, and not even a continental breakfast, had to ask for drinking glasses. I realize this is Mexico so didn’t expect a coffee maker, microwave or fridge. The sewer/urine smell was nauseating (never went away, was continuous). The only positive thing was it was clean. Experienced lovely music from neighbouring restaurant. Given the price was comparable to other hotels, I was hoping for similar amenities. I would not go back.

You might not ask for that information to the front desk Becouse in the Hotel we do have. Continental breakfast is not included in your rate. Nowhere, in the page, we say that we have a continental breakfast. The driking glasses were provided as your request. In Paloma de Mar we do have junior suites with refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, balcony, ocean view, etc. You booked a standard room. Nice place!
This little hotel is a great deal for the price! Located just a few minutes walk from the beach, and with lots of great restaurants, street food, and cafes nearby. The building is old and a bit outdated, but bright and cute. It is kept extremely clean and has everything you need. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. The only problem I had was the sound from the room next door and from the hallway - if you're a light sleeper be sure to bring earplugs. Otherwise a very nice stay!

Lovely, but not "Adults Only"
The hotel is very clean and in a great location. The pool area is lovely as well. The staff, specially Daniel, is wonderful and knowledgable! This is NOT an adults only hotel tho. There were children screaming everywhere at all times of the day.

Excellent deal cost wise, they allowed me to check in early after a particularly bad experience with an airbnb (how to make last minute plans) added bonus to front desk let me check in quite a bit early to accommodate me great stay very comfortable bed friendly staff

Worth a visit

Overall great stay for a single night. Comfortable king bed, and great water pressure. The AC worked well, as did the WiFi. Convenient location was the selling point for our stay, and should I need a single night awaiting a flight again, I would book. It does need some renovations, but overall great stay.

The hotel is in a popular neighborhood with many shops, restaurants. and cafes. A nice beach with amenities is a few blocks away. It is within walking distance to the Malecon and the Romantic Zone. We stayed in an ocean view suite with a kitchenette but we’re told because we were only staying two nights we did not have access to any of the kitchen supplies. Not even a wash cloth or utensils but that we could use the staff kitchen in the lobby to heat up any meals. The room only had the very basics. One towel per person, no shampoos. And you had to leave a $500 peso deposit for the room key and air conditioner control. The rates are double what you would expect to pay for the room type so be aware of this when booking if you are expecting to be able to prepare any meals or have any level of comfort beyond the bare minimums. The plus sides are the location and cleanliness and friendly and helpful staff.

Michael, Muchas gracias por su buenos comentarios. Referente a la cocina, estas habitaciones son reservadas tambien por largas estancias de 2 semanas hasta 5 meses, es por esta razón que tienen una cocineta y un refrigerador. pero en las estancias cortas no tiene ese servicio, usted lo puede verificar en la página y nunca se le informó que tiene una cocineta. El depósito de los $500.00 es para amparar por si hay algún desperfecto en la habitación, como toallas o blancos manchados, y les informamos que si no los hay se le reembolsa su depósito a su salida 100%. Este depósito no solo existe en Paloma del Mar, sino en muchas partes del mundo. Las toallas, si es una por persona por noche, estas se remplazan por limpias cada día, cuando le hacen su limpieza, que es todos los días. Referente a la tarifa, esta es una tarifa razonable ya que el Hotel se encuentra en una muy buena ubicación, y muchos lugares lo puede visitar caminando, son distancias cortas y se ahorra mucho en transporte o estacionamiento. Estamos a sus órdenes y será un placer darles la bienvenida nuevamente a esta bella Ciudad. Cordialmente,

No me gusto porque me dieron la peor habitacion q tenian apestaba komo si tuviera años cerrada y nadie la abrio ademas nos cambiaron de habitacion y aparte noa cobraron extra estaba un poko mejor la habitacion pero el baño muy cochino. Una persona del hotel solo se dedico a fastidiar nuestra estancia ahi,no es la primera ves q me kedo ahi pero esta fue la peor creo ue no regresaria ahi cuando vuelva de visita a puerto vallarta

It is old, last century style hotel. Massive iron keys from rooms gives you nostalgia for old times :)) Pros: very good location, very clean (except pool) - cleaning ladies doing great job, polite staff in reception who speak English as well. They gave me ocean view room, as I requested. Cons: Pool is very small, and does not seem clean. Hotel need some renovation. One time elevator was not working (fortunately there are only 4 floors, so not a huge deal). Also, some minimal kitchen appliances would be nice. I stayed in Superior room - there were sink , refrigerator , and small stove there but no coffee machine or even small teapot to make hot water (for tea of coffee) which for me seems strange. If I stay longer I would probably buy some ovenproof dish to make coffee and tea :)
