Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Puerto De San Isidro?
The best area to stay in Puerto De San Isidro is directly at the ski resort's base, particularly around the main access road and the pistes.

This area is the heart of the resort, offering unparalleled convenience for winter sports enthusiasts. You'll find a selection of hotels and apartments right next to the lifts, making it incredibly easy to get onto the slopes. The general layout is focused around the ski-in/ski-out principle, with accommodation blending into the mountain landscape.

For couples or solo travellers focused purely on skiing or snowboarding, staying right at the base is ideal. You can literally step out of your accommodation and onto the snow, maximising your time on the mountain.
When is the best time to go to Puerto De San Isidro?
The best time to go to Puerto De San Isidro for skiing is typically from December to April, though the peak season with the most reliable snow conditions is usually January and February.

This period offers the best chance for optimal skiing and snowboarding experiences. During these months, the resort is fully operational, with all lifts open and a good depth of snow across its pistes. It's also when you'll find the most services available, from equipment hire to ski lessons.

For those looking to enjoy winter sports with a lively option, January and February are ideal. The slopes are generally well-covered, and the resort often hosts events and activities, making it a great time for families with children or groups of friends who want to combine skiing with a social holiday.

If you prefer a quieter experience or are looking for potentially better value on accommodation and lift passes, late March and early April can be excellent. The weather often becomes milder, and while the snow might be softer, there are usually fewer crowds, allowing for more relaxed runs.
Can I cancel my hotel reservation on Expedia?
You can cancel your hotel reservation on Expedia, though it depends on the cancellation policy of your booking. Most bookings are refundable if canceled within 24-48 hours of the scheduled arrival. Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy. If free cancellation is available, you can cancel directly through your Expedia account by logging in, going to "My Trips", and selecting your reservation. To find flexible deals, filter your search by "Fully refundable property" for hotels in Puerto de San Isidro.
How much is the nightly rate at a Puerto de San Isidro hotel?
Prices for hotels in Puerto de San Isidro often vary, but you can find a great deal from CA $56 on Expedia. All sorts of factors affect price, such as the time of year or the days of the week you choose for your stay. Find the best deals by being flexible with your dates, and sort search results by "Price: low to high" for the cheapest rate.
