Perfect location, just in front of the ferry port, but still quiet and no noisy. Hotel had very good condition, everything is as expected. Front desk had free tea and coffee whold day long. Restaurant had $1 for soft ice cream, but which is not as good as the one on multiple market. Room is big enough and bed is good. Not luxury but comfortable and convenience. The town is very small, everywhere is in walking distance. airport is also only 15 minutes walking. Taxi is $1/p.p shared, or $5/p.car from airport to hotel, but $3/p.car from hotel to airport. Highly recommended. Only thing I don't like is that they won't be able to be charged by Expedia, but via a 3rd party link, which make us feeling uncomfortable of the transaction safety. Sea lion is the major residence here.

On the water front !!
Beautiful views of the San Cristobal harbour, super close to all the shops and Restaurants and you can even hear the sea lions playing in the water

Great view of the harbour. There was a comical, loud barking sea lion in the harbour that we could hear from the room. The hotel has a nice cafe that provides a good breakfast. Location is great for getting to the pier for the ferry or for water taxis to do boat tours.

Know Spanish
Know Spanish. It will help you converse with the staff. WIFI is sketchy and even with internet service, googletranslate wouldn't load. They did offer cheap and quick laundry services which was nice. There is no staff in evenings or overnight which was not convenient when we had a large rainfall and water came into our room in buckets through the wall. Nice location.

The hotel is very well located, with friendly, efficient staff who are very attentive. The facility is clean, well maintained, and convenient. It’s located next to a small cafe with an excellent breakfast and snacks. The freshly prepared juices are a delight. The hotel experience was wonderful. We plan to return.

This was an excellent hotel in the heart of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. We were just steps from the waterfront and were able to enjoy breakfast in view of the harbor each morning. Everyone was friendly and helpful and the accommodations were more than comfortable for our purposes. We would absolutely stay here again!

We enjoyed the extra security of having the front door locked at night. Only guests had the key to unlock the front door at night, so that was a nice built in safety for guests. Overall, it was very attractive, comfortable, secure, and in a great location. It was the best stay of our trip! We would most definitely stay here again!

The location is perfect - right by both docks and very quiet because it's in front of pedestrian section of the boardwalk not the street. Also an amazing view. The cafe outside is very pleasant and breakfast was nice as well. That said, what should have been a 5 star experience was not due to many little things. Like there are 12 pillows in the room but they are show pillows not for sleeping and also have dirty pillow covers. Yuck. Blanket was also dirty. The room is very dated compared to the photos and needs some refurbishing. Also you constantly need to beg to have a second towel. The staff even argued with me every time I asked for an extra towel which is just silly. The area is humid and I want an extra one - why make it so difficult.

Stay was good, location is perfect (oceanview), staff is nice (minimal English speakers), breakfast was okay. The hotel itself is old, you can see it in the bathroom. Beds are full-size mattress, not queens.

I would never stay at hotel Zayap again. The manager is very incompetent. The two managers are young kids. The water did not work several days. The water did not work several days. The management is not responsive. The location is great. One of the waitresses is super nice. One of the waitresses is super nice. But no one speaks very much English. After staying for five days in the hotel we had to beg to get check out extended to 11 AM from 10 AM. Management is very inflexible.

Hotel Zayapa is centrally located and directly opposite the harbour and you can watch the goings on from the comfort of your bed. The window is netted so you can leave it open and catch the breeze without getting bitten by mosquitos. This was a big plus! When the noises of the harbour got too loud you could close the window and put on the amazingly silent air conditioner. This and the block out curtains really enabled a pleasant rest. The linen of the bed was good quality and the room contained a new mini fridge. The staff were helpful, responsive and professional and the room was super clean.

This hotel is on the island of San Cristobal and the views were just lovely. It sits on the main street so some traffic but as the island is so small the noise really isn't a big deal. Location is great for walking around to the best spots that the island has to offer and all within a short walk. I feel the hotel was sparce and very basic, no refrig in the room, reception is sketchy but not anything the hotel could do. I would recommend staying here absolutely!!

The hotel is dirty, the staff was rude and disrespectful; they didn’t respect our reservation and the breakfast was not good. The hotel neither the rooms look like the pictures on Expedia. Not recommended at all.
