Lightning inside room is not bright enough . Reception staff , in particular male gender, needs more training to greet guests promptly at time of interaction.
Breakfast is terrific and the staff in the dining room are courteous.

We are very pleased with JW Marriott Marquis Shanghai, room is spacious and clean, staff is friendly, helpful and professional! Particularly appreciated it's guest relations Elieen to coordinate our stay!!
We had an amazing river view and it's location is on point, definitely recommend and hopefully have the chance to come back again!

The staff at the hotel were really helpful and accommodating. We came in really late, they stayed up to help us check in and set us up for the night. Really helpful! Went above and beyond.

Service was exceptional from all staff. Basic English communication was good, location is excellent and literally steps away from Waitan tourist areas. Lots of crowds always outside the front doors because of the history of the building. Guests can take a free guided tour (Mandarin and English) of the building and learn about the history. Nightly live jazz music and entertainment which was great (minimum spend rules may apply).

The room was just as advertised and was just enough for 4 adults and 1 baby. Only complaint which would be due to the location of the property being close to a marsh/swamp, there's a lot of mosquitos. The staff was very helpful, there may have been miscommunication on how to get an airport shuttle, but they still helped us call one to get onto the scheduled in the next 15 minutes vs waiting for another 2 hours. Be sure to message in property the night before if you require a shuttle to ensure...
