"Went through Super 8s website for pre-check in to save time at the counter. I also elected to pay extra for an early check in. I received 8 different emails in the morning with the same check in information to complete. When I arrived, I still had to go through all the steps to check in and there was some type of technology issue where we stood at the counter for almost 30 minutes. Our reason for early check in to was to make it to an event by noon. We did make the event but had to rush through the check-in that we paid extra to have. Staff should have made the right decision at the time to give me keys and then manually enter the info when their system was back to operating properly. Then there was the nerve to ask me to join their motel club point system crap just to get free wifi. Upgrade your network to work properly for guests before creating a club point system."

"Our room got flooded from the rain and the smell was horrible. We notified the front desk and they switched us to another room. The staff was very helpful."

"Another lovely stay at The Beachfront. My wife and I have stayed here multiple times and we will return again I’m sure next time we’re in the Houghton Lake area."

"We loved this home. Very clean and homey with a beautiful view of the lake. The kitchen has several appliances and is stocked with some dry staple ingredients. The hosts have thought of everything and are responsive to any questions. We will definitely be back. "

"Very comfortable 2 nights stay for family reunion. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We always stay here when visiting family and will stay again. "

"This really is a cozy, cute place. You can tell a lot of personal love is being put in to it as its still somewhat of a work in progress but it does not keep it from being a great place to stay. The little pool table was a lot of fun and we absolutely loved the hot tub! The temp out side was still quite cool so it was very much enjoyed! We had pretty much everything we needed in the kitchen as well as plenty of bath towels and the beds were cozy enough....we all slept well. Also, Jacob was great with communication. I would definitely stay here again."

"We had a great stay overall! The property itself is beautiful, with gorgeous lake views and plenty of space for our group to spread out and relax. The pool was also a big highlight — really nice and a lot of fun for everyone. Hot tub was also nice with a beautiful pool. A couple things to note for future guests. The listing mentions 6 bedrooms, but the 6th “bedroom” is actually the game room with a twin trundle. It’s fine for kids, but not the most ideal setup for an adult, so just something to be aware of when planning.We also had an issue with the heat one night — it dropped to 62 degrees in the house, which made things pretty uncomfortable (and too cold to enjoy the pool). That said, the host was responsive and sent someone out the same day after we reached out.Overall, we had a really nice time and enjoyed the property — just a few things to keep in mind when booking! We would love to return. "
