"House could definitely use a laundry room for longer stays.Dock has rotting issues and some areas pose a threat of falling through. House is very relaxing and screened in porch gives a nice space to relax or catch an afternoon nap."

"Great place to stay for a nearby wedding! Enjoyed swimming in the lake and catching up with old friends. Homeowner/host was extremely friendly and we would definitely stay again if we are ever in the area. Only thing was that the room with bunkbeds is only accessible via one of the rooms with a king bed."

"Wow! This home was top notch! The host was incredibly professional, kind, and responsive as well. What more could you ask for? The home was beautiful- very well maintained, the water access was incredible, and the private beach was so enjoyable. We come to Lake Murray every year for our family reunion and this home was by far our favorite. We enjoyed reading the family story posted on the wall and we appreciated the nice higher end furniture and decorative items that gave the stay a cozy feel- rather than a generic rental. The host provided kayaks, stand up paddle boards, kids toys, floats, lounge chairs, etc etc etc. They were very kind to leave a little something for the baby as well. Everything we needed was provided and then some- cookware, comfortable seating for all of us, games, towels and linens. We enjoyed the large tables where we could all sit and have meals together. The kitchen is spacious enough that multiple people could cook at once. The rooms were very clean with plush bedding and comfortable beds. Some of the rooms had gorgeous water views. It was perfect for our family and we really enjoyed our peaceful, relaxing stay. The location on the cove was very private and quiet as well. Absolutely the best- we are so grateful we found this place- we didn’t want to leave! Rather than staying in a home that felt like a rental- this house really felt like a home away from home. Thank you for everything, it was quite an enjoyable experience."

"This is an excellent property. This is a genuinely honest review.The instructions for entry and exit were perfect. It is well equipped in the living areas, kitchen and baths. The welcome bag was quite nice for starting essentials. The outdoor area has everything you need for fun and relaxation. There is plenty of seating indoors and out.The best part of this property is the cleanliness. A number of properties on Lake Murray do not take cleanliness seriously. We have rented 7 times in the area. In this day and age when every virus is lurking- (especially on cruise ships and short term rentals)-that is a NO-NO! Mystic Shores has out shone all of the others. Mystic Shores on Misty Lane has clean window sills, light fixtures, and baseboards! Wow! The bedrooms and bathrooms are sparkling. The windows and exterior are clean! I knew when I picked up the throw blankets that they had been freshly laundered. The bathroom rugs are CLEAN ! Not just shaken out. We really appreciate every extra step it takes to make this property so clean because we were able to actually relax and not re-wash all the dishes before using. I really hope other property owners take note of this review. And I also hope other renters would be more honest in their reviews. April was on top of our every need and her communication was within moments even though she was out of the country during our visit. We will return to this property because it ticks all the boxes."

"Parking area was convenient and plenty of room for even more than our 3 vehicles. The cabin was immaculate and we were tremendously impressed with ALL the special decorative touches throughout the cabin!!! The sleeping arrangements fit our extended 3 generation family perfectly and beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was throughly equipped with both cooking and eating utensils as well as basic supplies. We asked ahead of time whether there was a pancake griddle and a brand new one was on the counter upon arrival. Grandkids enjoyed the dock for fishing and the availability of 2 kayaks and 2 stand up paddle boards were a very popular feature. Adults enjoyed the well kept patio/ fire circle for relaxing and the picnic table /grill area was perfect for an outdoor supper. Our only suggestion might be some stronger lighting for older eyes in the evening.This is a 10 out of 10! Highest recommendation!!!!!"

"Great breakfast. However, that was overshadowed by 1) a front door intercom that did not work (we arrived after 11 pm and the doors were locked), 2) toilet that we had to hold the handle down in order to flush, and 3) air conditioner in the room set to 61 degrees. I hope this is not the start of this place going downhill. Given their nightly rate is double other local hotels, any reduction in quality makes paying the extra money unreasonable."
