"Booked this hotel through Expedia prior to my trip, when I landed in Colombo I received a text message from a French (+33) number saying that my booking at The Coconut would be cancelled, and that the prices I had booked were no longer valid! "There was a problem with our reservation as apparently hotels.com bookings do not transfer over to the hotels system and therefore they had no record of our booking. This meant that they did not have the rooms that we had booked available.
