Hotel staff was very helpful with dinner recommendations and sight seeing tips. Hotel was centrally located and walking distance to many sites. Our room was a little noisy at night by street musicians- who were very good--and late nighters
I cant praise this hotel enough.
The location is fantastic, its in a sort of square where there are restaurants and a busker entertaining diners. Its a beautiful area. The street its on is lovely and great for shopping. Its well placed for Sao Bento station and the riverside.
Breakfast is fantastic and you can help yourself during the day to pastel de nata and port!
The staff are lovely.
There is a lovely bar in the evening and lovely restaurants close by.
I loved Porto and would go back to this hotel in the blink of an eye.
The room was great. Slightly odd shower arrangement but its a double thumbs up with bells on for me.
This is a beautiful, well located hotel. The room was clean, comfortable and overlooked a popular square with cafes and musical performances in the afternoon and evening. Our balcony window had interior shutters to minimize street noise. The staff was extremely helpful with dining suggestions and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Highly recommend this historic hotel!
Terrible parking and terrible directions to parking from front desk.

Dear Mr Daniel, thank you for staying with us and for sharing your opinion. We're sorry that you had a difficult time with the parking. It's a common problem at big city centers, even more in historical ones as this case. Our location is one of our best characteristics, but the lack of a parking space near the hotel, aggravated by the metro station constructions is an aspect out of our control that we shouldn't be accountable for. We're sorry again for this inconvenience! Best regards from the team
Loved the hotel, was in a great area and the breakfast offered as option.
The only issue was there was not a door which would close when using the vanity sink or shower. There was a door for the wash closet. Overall... Loved the experience.
Second time I've visited this hotel. The location is perfect for exploring the Ribiera district of Porto. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean and well maintained.
Brilliant location but style over function for us.
The location and building are fantastic and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the entrance did not have a handrail and anyone with balance or mobility issues would struggle down the few steps without a rail. The room was compact and well designed but for the lighting. It was difficult to decide which button was for which light. The bathroom was complete with all you need but offered no privacy (no door) and that may put some people off. The toilet did have a door though. A beautifully designed room but not that functional. The breakfast offering was excellent.
This is a lovely hotel right in the middle of Porto. I had very quiet and clean room with very nice decoration. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. I look forward to staying again.
The apartments are very quaint yet a bit small but comfortable. The breakfast is really good.. You have so many options: pastries, eggs, pancakes and waffles, coffee, fruits and more. The location is excellent! Walking distance to restaurants, shops and sites. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
This hotel is fantastic. I took a bath every night and looked out onto a small plaza with buskers and cafes and I felt like I was in the middle of everything. You can walk everywhere and the service from reception was amazing- giving me recommendations for what to see based on my interests. I cannot gush more about how much I enjoyed staying here!
Great location, staff were very friendly and helpful - provided us with an umbrella to use for the evening when it was raining. Bed was very comfortable, thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would return!
The hotel is in a great location central to everything. The property is spotless and very comfortably appointed. Shower was very large with great pressure. They provide free Porto wine and mini traditional tarts, nice touch. I had a pinched nerve and when I asked if they could recommend a place for a massage they told me to go to the Intercontinental Hotel. That didn’t offer to call and book. I felt they could do better here. I found a great spa just two blocks away that was truly great. Other inquiries with the front desk were fine. The restaurant is good but they should dim the lights a bit to make it more cozy. The restaurant staff is very good and attentive. I would recommend and will stay here again on my next visit to Porto.
Although I a reservation months in advance, and I noted that our stay marked a special occasion, and I requested a quiet room, the room we were given was on the second floor over the noisy main road where the buskers and crowds were noisy and cigarette smoke wafted into the closed windows. I'm not even commenting on how tiny the room was. The lights were not user friendly and the staff was nice but not very helpful.
Only negative is that there is not much storage in the room to unpack your bag. Other than that, everything else about it is amazing. The location is perfect, and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay here again…highly recommended!
We really enjoyed our stay here. We were offered an upgrade as part of our expedia VIP access to a larger room with street view. The room was cozy but fitted with all the key amenities and amazingly decorated. We could hear all the amazing street performers with the window open and it was a great way to enjoy the atmosphere after a big day out.
Breakfast was a great spread and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The restaurant offered exceptional food and we ended up eating there 3 times!
The hotel is in the most perfect location on the main tourist street and walking distance to all the main attractions! We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it!
This hotel is centrally located in a converted old building. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Our room was comfortable and a reasonable size.
Breakfast was good.
Overall a good choice, id stay here again
It was a wonderful property with attentive front desk staff. The room cleaning could have been better. Lots of female hair in the bathroom shower walls, and floor.
We arrived early and the staff was great to store our luggage and then call when the room was ready. Very nice staff and great property right in the heart of Porto on a street filled with food & shopping. Easy walk down to the river and so many cultural sites.
Excellent location and within walking distance to all sites. You can take the train from the airport and get off at Sao Bento train station and walk to the hotel
