Incredible!
Incredible! This hotel is an absolute gem! Communication with the owners is super easy and responsive. I was asked to even check in early, which was really nice and convenient for me. The hotel, it is absolutely beautiful! Very nice home converted into hotel. So if you are looking for a place with few rooms, that is very clean, with excellent service, and appreciate privacy…look no further. Also, they provide maps of the city and even recommendations for your trip, as well as metro card that you can use and simply top up with credit. The room, we had the Cream Suite. Just as beautiful! Extremely clean, even the towels smell like baby powder! Rooms are spacious, with A/C and very dark at night as well. Breakfast buffet, is delicious. All home made meals! We really enjoyed our three night stay, and look forward at coming back in the future! To Manuela and Joao, thank you for the excellent service!

I booked this place for my parents see the Dragon stadium, and they love it , as this place are just around the corner , very close to the Drangon Stadium. The Landlady was very friendly and polite, giving me advices about the localation , Mrs Manuela makes me feel very welcome also .. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy Porto city..

It was a wonderful stay. The property was beautifully furnished and breakfast was a delightful spread of cold and warm items. Metro was a 10-minute walk - lovely in the May weather (but might get uncomfortable in the hot or cold months). Above all, Manuela and Joao were amazing hosts who obviously took great pride in the hospitality they provided. If I return to Porto, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Really is a Charming place. Wonderful hosts in a quiet neighborhood away from the busy city center. Just a short 30 walk to the water or quick, inexpensive Uber ride. We were served a delicious breakfast every morning, and hosts made great restaurant recommendations in the area. Would definitely stay there again!

We understand and agree with why this property has 5-star ratings. The owners are so good at what they do and provide all the little touches to make you feel welcome and cared for - including a city map and card for metro. The food was so good, the property so pretty, precise, and clean. We really loved it and appreciated all the efforts of the owners. Wonderful.

Our 5 night stay in Porto
Everything was first class. From the room to the bathroom. It could not have been better. The parking was very safe behind two gates and protected by two very large dogs. The breakfast was superb and plentiful. Our hosts were helpful and charming just like the house. Would highly recommend.

Outstanding place to stay!
I rarely leave reviews unless things went so badly that all should be warned, or everything went so well a business should be praised and supported. Happily, this is a very positive recommendation. This is an absolutely amazing B&B type home with just 6 rooms available for guests meaning owners Manuela and Joao can and do give each guest all the personalized pampering one could expect. Check-in by Manuela includes an unhurried welcome and review of available amenities, suggested things to do in Porto and restaurants to visit. All this good info provided over a complementary glass of local port wine. Also, free parking within the converted home's gated doors is a great amenity for easy arrival/departure - no lugging of luggage through city streets needed here. And then there is the wonderful complimentary breakfast prepared by Joao himself. This is such a beautiful food spread, you'll want to photo document ibfore you start. Breakfast times are arranged at check-in so there is no waiting for this beautiful meal. Serve yourself fresh fruits of all kinds, (kiwi and passion fruit were my personal favorites) cheeses and various hot items including eggs, bacon, ham, home made waffles and more. And on our second morning we were surprised to see a different but just as beautiful and large buffet spread. On both mornings Joao came by to chat about the bkfst and make sure everything was ok.,

Charming Antas House
On our nine day trip across Spain and Portugal we stayed at five different places. Of these, Charming Antas House was the best of them. It was the most expensive place we stayed, but it was still good value for money and it was a good example of: "You get what you pay for", Apart from the room being spotless and comfortable, Manuela and her husband certainly made us feel at home. It was the details that made all the difference- things like the welcome glass of Port, the excellent breakfast and some great restaurant recommendations. Porto is a beautiful city, and this was the ideal place from which to explore it. The nearest Metro station is only nine minutes walk away, but we found that an Uber taxi was the best value method of transport for our family. We would love to visit Porto again one day, and would definitely stay here again.

Great stay at Charming Antas House
The wonderful reviews for Manuela and this location are warranted. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfasts were more than ample and were slightly different everyday. She was helpful providing information on what to do and where to go. The location is easy for metro access; over 3 days I did not get the car out until our departure.

Small excellent family hotel with parking
We had a one night stay in this lovely small family hotel. We booked it as we needed to park the car overnight which they can do with off street parking but it was a really nice friendly hotel with great showers, comfortable bedrooms and the best breakfast you ever had. Manuela the owner was incredibly helpful and welcoming. It is a 5-10 minute walk to the metro and then 10 minutes to central Porto. Top tip stay on the train beyond sao bento as the metro tram erupts onto the top of the pont luiz bridge with the most breathtaking views over Porto. Manuela recommended a few restaurant /cafes locally 1-2 minutes which are in a 1960s crescent that didnt look promising but we had a lovely meal- saltcod/ bachalu , wine etc for 60euros for 2- really good value. Overall a really welcoming comfortable small family hotel only a short hop from central Porto- highly recommended.

Just amazing!
We LOVED our stay. The location is great; we had a rental car so they have a great and safe parking space inside the gates, but still convenient distance to get to the main attractions by public transportation as Porto traffic can be quite hectic (3min walk to the bus stop, or 7min to the metro station). Breakfast is top-notch, 10/10, you’ll be properly fuelled up to tour the city! There’s homemade jam, fresh warm bread picked up from the bakery, the plates match the table cloths, literally every little detail is thought of. Rooms are spacious, as well as the bathroom. No need to climb the stairs as the rooms are located on the first floor. Common room is beautiful and you can play a round of pool if you’re up for it while having a glass of port! Would definitely come again.

Feeling at home in Porto
My husband and I were lucky enough to spend five night in Manuela’s truly charming house. We stayed in the cream suite which is spacious and beautifully appointed with everything we needed. The breakfast in the morning has everything you’ll want and will start your day off perfectly for exploring Porto. Manuelas husband makes delicious egg dishes which changed every morning and there is always one of his homemade jams in the assortment of three jams for your croissants or breads. Coffee and tea are available all day for free as is a cake Manuela makes and leaves out for guests to enjoy. The B&B is in Antas which is a short ride on the metro to the center, the metro is a 10 minute walk from the house. Manuela gives you Andante cards and all you have to do is add trips and your on your way. We enjoyed the peacefulness of being out of the Ribeira and center area. If we’re ever back in Porto we would not hesitate to stay at Charming Antas House, Manuelas hospitality is unsurpassed.

Our stay was exceptional , The owner was extremely charming and exceptional in her helping us plan our day in Porto ! She started off by treating us to a glass of Porto wine and then brought out a map and explain to us everything we had to see.Her house was a beautiful collection of her memorabilia of her childhood and the total feeling was being and somebody’s beautiful home. I can only thank her for her hospitality and caring and beautiful detail to every tiny thing in her home which we could enjoy !!! Even to her giving us subway tickets to Re top ... Thank you so much

We had an absolutely fantastic stay. The room was spotlessly clean, quiet and the breakfasts were amazing. Although a little out of the centre of Porto, the metro is close by and Charming Antas House is so good it makes the journey worthwhile.

We had a lovely two night stay at Charming Antas. Manuela was a wonderful and welcoming host and the house was beautiful with our room and en suite being nice and big. It is slightly outside of the centre but only an 8min walk to the metro then just 4 stops into town so not far at all. An added bonus for us was the secure parking as we had driven to Porto. Our two girls fell in love with Jaguar and Estrella their two dogs. Would highly recommend staying here.

Comfortable but very expensive .
Charming Atlas is a Quirky and comfortable place to stay and the owners are very welcoming . Access to town via tube is easy from the location . The house is close to football ground which we only realised later had a knock on effect of making the cost of stay very expensive for what could only be described as B+B This is not a hotel in the sense of it .

We had a wonderful three night stay at Charming Antas House. The welcoming hospitality of Manuela began as soon as we arrived and was a lovely introduction to our stay in Porto. The property is in an attractive area and only an 8 minute walk from a metro station so you are in the centre of Porto within 20 mins. The accommodation was very clean, the room very comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious and fresh with plenty of choice. We would recommend this as somewhere to stay especially if you prefer somewhere with a more personal and friendly approach to hospitality.

Home away from home-luxury
Our main discovery of accommodation in Portugal on this trip was high service, fantastic customer focus of hotel personnel and good, cozy, very clean and nice quality of all accommodation we used. Each detail of this house from the main gate to a plaid on the arm-chair in our room is well thought-out and made with love and great passion. Our room, common areas, eg the hall, a living / breakfast room with a pool table, and all interiors were tastefully decorated and extremely clean. Certainly, Charming Antas House is very charming and has an unforgettable character. The owners were so friendly and customer focused by looking after us, cooking delicious breakfasts and providing dainty homemade cakes and biscuits in the evenings. We were welcomed with a glass of a nice port on arrival. Our room was very spacious and warm (it contained an air conditioner). Breakfasts were cooked individually for us, varied every morning and were enormous with a big variety of cheeses, biscuits, cakes, various sorts of local specialities, fruits and a hot meal. Antas house is very well located within a walking distance (10 min) to the subway station with line direct to the city centre. It was very easy to leave our car in the courtyard and explore Porto by foot. Thank you very much, dear owners, for providing such a great level of comfort and care. If we ever have a chance we would love to come and stay in Charming Antas House again.

Manuela and Joao were wonderful hosts, very helpful and friendly. The house is charming full of beautiful things and breakfast was the best ever! We plan to stay with them again when we return to Porto! . We give the Charming Antas House our highest recommendation!

3 days in Porto
Manuela and Joao are the perfect hostesses! Their home is impecable and the service could have not been better. The breakfast is amazing. I will definetly stay at Charming Antas House the next time I’m in Porto. It’s within walking distance to the Metro and from there is a quick two stops to the center and all the action. Uber is also very reasonable. Many thanks to Manuela for making our stay so pleasant!!

Lovely boutique hotel
We chose this hotel based on previous reviews and so we could park our car. So glad we chose it, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, everything was perfect. Easy to find, not far from the motorway. Secure car parking and a wonderful welcome from Manuela who explained about Porto and gave us cards for the metro system for us to load with euros as and when needed. Our room was large and beautifully presented and most important, spotlessly clean. There was bottled water and lovely bath products provided. There was an honesty bar in the breakfast room where you could get coffee whenever you wanted. It was a 10 minute walk to the Metro station so we managed our 10K steps a day! There are a couple of restaurants and a great cafe very close by. I would thoroughly recommend a stay at this hotel.

Incredibly charming and special place with Manuela making it more special. Will definitely stay there again if we have the chance to go back to Porto. Very large and confortable room and bathroom. Delicious breakfast too! It was like our own home.

We absolutely loved Charming Antas House! I'm sad we only had time to spend one night. The owner is so friendly and hospitable, making us feel like part of her family. She shared a glass of wine with us in her peaceful garden when we arrived and gave us helpful tourist advice. We had no trouble taking the short metro ride to the city center. The B&B is in a quiet, lovely part of town with free parking onsite. The queen suite was comfortable, clean, and spacious with bathrobes provided. Breakfast was prepared just for us and served at our preferred time. It was the best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel or B&B! We hope to return someday. This place is truly special!

Top class property and overall experience.
The property itself is an oasis of calm in a suburban neighbourhood. There is quick access to tourist centre of the city with two metro stations nearby. Secure, off-street parking is provided and location gives easy access to the main motorway. Manuela provided a great welcome, including a glass of beautiful port wine in the shade of the garden. She is an exceptional hostess and really made us feel at home. The property itself is wonderful. Both our room and the public areas were impeccably presented. But breakfast is definitely the highlight with an amazing spread provided to our table. Manuela sets a very high standard for a great guest house experience. We cannot recommed highly enough.

Perfect Place in Porto
This place was amazing! We were greeted upon arrival by the owner, Manuela, and she was wonderful throughout the entire stay. Breakfast was delicious, the room was gorgeous, and it was near a metro station. We had dinner there at least once, since there are small plates offered. They were very tasty! Everything about our stay was perfect, and I would definitely stay again!

This is one of the nicest bed and breakfast places I have ever stayed at. Manuela goes beyond what is expected or needed to make the stay enjoyable and memorable. Her warm welcome, her amazing breakfasts, her hospitality cannot be exaggerated. We stayed two nights and if I'm ever in Porto again, there is no question that we will be staying with Manuela again.

Best Ever
Check in was great with the port sample and all. Manuella took time to explain the things to see and do both downtown and in the area. The neighborhood has a good vibe and the walk home from the metro station was easy and safe. The room was very clean and refreshed every day. The highlight though was the breakfast. Incredible selection and freshness. Overall the best experience we have had in any guest house anywhere.

Great place
Wonderful hosts, very very helpful. Very knowledgeable about places to see and visit. You can tell Manuela is very proud of Porto and Portugal. Breakfast is enough to keep you going all day. Hosts are very attentive. Rooms are very spacious and decorated (by Manuela) individually. All you need. I will return.

I've travelled a lot but this has been one of my favourite places I've stayed. The room was gorgeous, in a very authentic house. The host couldn't have done more for us and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. I'd recommend here
