Discover an especially charming side to Portland at this quiet neighborhood home, wonderfully situated less than a mile from the heart of Multnomah Village. Peruse the unique shops, food carts, and eateries in town, then return home to take a dip in the heated pool (available seasonally July-Sept) and relax in over 9,000 square feet of beautiful, landscaped gardens. This tranquil home is ideal for getting around on foot, with off-street parking provided. The neighborhood is incredibly walkable, with new sidewalks and landscaping on SW Capitol Highway leading into Multnomah Village. The large corner lot is something special, with its professionally maintained gardens and private pool (with plenty of beach towels provided!). There's patio seating beneath the trees for morning coffee in the front yard, as well as a partially covered rear deck with a gas grill for afternoon barbecues. Please note, however, that the pictured fireplace is not for guest use. Almost the entire interior was thoughtfully remodeled in 2024, giving the house a delightful sense of modern polish. Enjoy a light-filled living room, a well-appointed kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and two inviting bedrooms. The spacious primary bedroom even includes a desk workspace where you can log onto the complimentary WiFi to work remotely. Central air conditioning and a home laundry room are provided as well. Things to Know This vacation rental is on the lower level of a multi-unit property. The upper level may be occupied during your stay. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) We absolutely adore this location, it's homeyness, and on a lovely neighborhood street in Multnomah with EZ access to all the freeways. The apartment is wonderfully and creatively decorated, and many of the home amenities have been thought of, such as books and magazines and games, fluffy quality towels, and lots of cozy pillows and blankets. The home was adorable ,comfortable and very clean. We slept very well! It was a great base camp to come back to after a day of exploring beautiful Oregon. The owner was so kind to communicate maintenance and gardening personnel that were going to be on property. We brought beautifully weather with us and and they were preparing the pool for future use. This property was perfect for our stay -- my two teenage kids and myself. We loved how cool the lower apartment stayed during the hot days. My son had a great time in the pool. The updates to the kitchen and bath are very charming and I absolutely loved the patio seating and walk through the shady garden to get to the apartment. Great neighborhood with lots of hills for getting up a sweat. Drawbacks: low ceilings (my son is 6'3" and had to duck doorways), the apartment doesn't have very much natural light, kitchen cabinet doors are a bit awkward (style of hinges forces you to open the door completely to access drawers inside), the bathroom is not super convenient to the primary bedroom.
