"When I booked this hotel for a small family staycation, I had no idea that this establishment was privately-owned. Had I seen a notifying statement on the booking page detailing the privately-owned status, I would never have booked a room here. And the very reasons that I would never choose a room outside of a chain-owned hotel, were on full display the entire time. You have a building that is aesthetically worn down due to the owner likely not wanting to pay for any renovations/updated layouts out of pocket. The ridiculous nit-picking over a free continental breakfast to avoid extra costs. All the rooms and spaces were only half-cleaned due to what is probably underpaid/undertrained private staff. And a nice-sized pool area that reeked of neglect. I will note that the staff there were always friendly and extremely helpful when approached. But the staff alone can't save an entire business. I would never stay here again, and was beyond anxious to leave on check-out day. If you are going to privately own, you have to invest in your business. "

"Lobby clean and staff friendly. Smoke filled casino. Nonsmokers had to walk thru smoking areas to get to nonsmoking area. Blue chip tower needs TLC as seemed outdated. Parking in covered garage convenient. "

"Need to update rooms. The staff need to learn how to attend to guest and not be on their phones all the time. The breakfast was okay but wasnt really hot. Decided to stay a second day and found bugs in room kids running and screaming up and down hallways when we were trying to sleep starting at 7am. Wouldnt go in pool because no one cleaned it. Had a jacuzzi room and stuff was floating like jets werent cleaned. Over all probably wont be back and wouldn't recommend."
