Liked: Check-in
The Hideaway has the potential to be a 10/10 accommodation because the location is absolutely outstanding. It is perfectly situated for an easy walk into the village of Port Isaac, down to Port Gaverne, and also conveniently close to the Co-op. The interior itself was pleasant, the bed was comfortable, and overall the accommodation had great potential. However, there were several maintenance and housekeeping issues that unfortunately affected our stay. The living room furniture was quite uncomfortable, with cushions offering virtually no support, which resulted in back discomfort even after sitting for a short period of time. The bathroom toilet seat was visibly stained, which was very off-putting. Outdoor housekeeping also appeared to have been neglected. The patio furniture was extremely dirty, covered in dust, dirt, and cobwebs. I actually had to brush off two of the wicker-style chairs myself before we could use them. We had hoped to enjoy wine and a charcuterie board outside, but unfortunately the patio table had no tabletop, making it unusable for drinks or plates. The dirt on the exterior windowsills was also quite thick, and I felt compelled to clean them before opening the windows so debris and cobwebs would not blow into the accommodation. Similarly, there was no upkeep around the outside entrance door, and I had to sweep away leaves and cobwebs myself before opening the door.In the kitchen, the sponge provided appeared old and previously used, which was unpleasant
