### 'Time Out' Beach Front getaway with amazing sea views
Located in a small, peaceful East Coast beach settlement, our beach front bach is the ultimate place to stay. The house is purpose- built for the view. It is well set up and comfortably decorated, with lovely macrocarpa flooring and features.
It is ideal for two couples or a large family, or even better for a romantic weekend getaway.
There are three bedrooms, two with sliding doors opening on to the front deck that have queen beds. The back room has a double bed and a single bed.
The well-equipped kitchen will allow you to cook with ease, or fire up the webber bbq. The dining table seats eight and the lounge area caters for all.
There is a Metro, free-standing log-fire to cosy up to on winter nights with plenty of wood supplied to keep it stoked up.
The Wifi and Smart TV caters for those who can’t go without it, but there are plenty of books and games to entertain the young and old.
The large bathroom / laundry consists of a shower, toilet and vanity, with a tub, washing machine and dryer.
Spend time on the sheltered 60 sq metre deck with uninterrupted sea views or play cricket on the lawn of the half acre, fully fenced section.
From here it is a quick stroll out a private gate onto the beach reserve. You can choose to swim, kayak and play in the stream -ideal for small children, or head on to the safe swimming beach within the bay. When you have finished, rinse off under the hot outdoor shower.
For the hunters and gatherers, Whangaehu has an abundance of paua and crayfish. The natural reef makes a perfect launching site for boats. It is a well known area for catching terakihi, blue cod and groper for the more adventurous.
At low tide you can walk for miles, exploring the rugged coastline in both directions. There are cliff walks for the more energetic.
Dogs are welcome - they love the space and freedom of the property and beyond.
Whatever you are looking for, our bach to will give you a break to remember. Take ‘Time Out’ now!
Special conditions:
Maximum of 6 adults (3 couples) due to bedding configuration.
ALL rubbish must be removed from the property on departure.
Pets welcome - but to be kept outside as much as possible.
Rain water - restrictions in summer months for boat washing etc.
Please note that there is no cellphone coverage at the house, but a quick trip up the hill gives coverage.
Limited Wifi is available free of charge
Camping in Tents is not permitted.
NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave; Bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels);

Our family got to visit Time Out bach for the 2nd time, and this stay was even better than the first. The bach is so homey, comfortable, kid & dog friendly, and of course has the best sea views! Beach combing amongst the rock pools at low tide was our familys favourite pasttime, but we also took advantage of the swimming, playing in the estuary/stream, hiking the cliffs walk, and playing lots of outdoor games in the huge backyard. We wished we couldve stayed another week!

#### Wet and wild
Some seriously wet and windy weather hit the few days we were here but with the fire going we were cosy. We just enjoyed being away from home and watching the weather and the sea. For lots of books read and watched some nostalgic dvds. Despite the weather we still enjoyed the get away and quill consider another visit in the spring or summer.

Our family came for an early xmas holiday. There was 5 adults a teen and 1 year old, and all our dog. Everyone had the best time. The house has everything. And the guys cought heaps of crays and paua. The dogs loved it!. (We have never been able to take them on holiday before, so that was awesome). The house is so warm, even with there was a bit of wind and rain. The kayaks were well used. And the veiw is amazing. Thank you so much

#### Everything you need in a wonderful location
I stayed for 3 nights with my 4 children ages 6-11, and our 1yo dog.The bach is relatively easy to get to, and the location - a skip and hop to the beach - is fantastic. The bach has everything you need, including boogie boards, kayaks and beach equipment, an outdoor shower, board games, kids' toys and DVDs for quieter times. The kitchen has all the staples.We enjoyed our stay, although I would have appreciated knowing the following:The beach is not really a swimming beach. You can swim if you are a strong swimmer, but it's a stony beach and the surf is strong. My 11yo and 8yo got quite a few injuries trying to boogie board, and eventually gave up, as did I. Nevertheless, it is very beautiful, and the large, colourful stones are delightful, if you aren't being dashed against them! (I have read all the other reviews, and wonder if we just went on a bad surf week?!)There is a lovely stream and estuary that is great for smaller children.Our dog had the time of his life, but we couldn't leave him outside unsupervised, as there were plenty of places he could escape through a fence or under the gate (and he did, because he is young and silly). There is also a local dog who free wanders, and kept coming onto the property.The bach was tidy when we got there, but some of the things on the cleaning list didn't look as though they been done for some time. Some of the windows also need fixing.Great for romantics, older families, obedient dogs, and very small kids.
