Well this is the perfect place in a perfect location. We stayed in Poprad for a few days and really enjoyed the area. It is close to the High Tetras where you can enjoy beautiful hikes and bike trips. The owners of Penzion Plesnivec are extremely kind and helpful. The place is clean, quite, updated and very reasonably priced. You can add on a nice breakfast for 5 euros. And, if you let them know that you are vegetarian/vegan, they'll be sure to have those options available as well. We truly enjoyed our visit to the area and to this penzion. It is a small hotel in a neighborhood setting. There were 3 of us and the room was large and comfortable with a nice décor and hardwood floors. The bathroom was good sized and had a nice shower. Everything was very clean. We enjoyed a big breakfast both mornings of our stay, cooked by the owner, for an additional fee. The owner was helpful with local tourist information and transportation options. We hope to visit the area again as our stay was too short. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others. There's also a small playroom for the kids inside the lodge in case the weather isn't good. Breakfast is extra, but worth it. The location is great... 5 minute walk up the hill to the old town of Spisska Sobota, 15 minute walk to either the main train station or the center of Poprad. The husband and wife speak excellent English and are incredibly helpful and can recommend lots of things to do and see and places to go and even help look up bus and train schedules and prices. They are so kind to their guests, and they even prepared me a delicious breakfast to take with me. It is extremely clean and comfortable. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing place, it is perfect. My room was large, with a King size bed and was very clean. Thankfully a kettle was provided in the room and as I'd bought my own tea-bags (non were provided) I could have a drink whenever I wanted.The en-suite had a fabulous shower. The owner was friendly, informative and cooked decent eggs at breakfast!! Unfortunately the neighbours barking dog put a blip in an almost perfect nights sleep but that was not the fault of anyone. The Penzion was close to the Old Town, 5mins and only a short 10-15 minutes from the pedestrian area of town. Breakfast and dinner were wonderful (dinners served are vegetarian - whatever the family is eating that night). Those needing help with suggestions for hikes in the High Tatras can get good information here. The location is not ideal but within reasonable walking distance of the city center and train and bus stations. If we return to Poprad before the end of our vacation, we will stay here again. ##### gregb
