The best time to go to Point Stuart is during the dry season, which typically runs from May to October.

During these months, the weather is more predictable with sunny days and cooler temperatures, making it ideal for exploring the area. This season sees less rainfall, which means the roads to Point Stuart, which can be unsealed in parts, are generally in better condition and more accessible.

This period is particularly good for those interested in wildlife viewing, as animals tend to congregate around dwindling water sources, making them easier to spot. Birdwatching is also excellent, with many migratory species present. For fishing enthusiasts, the dry season offers prime opportunities for barramundi.

The wet season, from November to April, brings high humidity, heavy rains, and the risk of localised flooding, making access challenging and some activities difficult to pursue.
