It is one of the largest 2 bedroom units in Magia, and is on the preferred west side of building. Refurbished in 2016 with all new furnishings and conveniences. Large, private balcony off kitchen and living room faces the pools and Caribbean waters. Both bedrooms also have private balconies. Both balconies have new, comfortable lounge furniture. Condo is 1400 sq feet with two large living rooms off the kitchen. One living room is set up with large couch, the other with 2 pull-out sofa beds. There is a king-sized bed in the master bedroom. The second bedroom can be set up as a king-sized bed or 2 twins. Comfortably sleeps 6 people. Bedrooms are large and have wardrobes, seating, black out drapes, and floor to ceiling windows facing west. The large kitchen with eating area is fully equipped with microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher, cookware, glasses, utensils, etc. There is a marble table with chairs. Lots of natural light from wall of floor to ceiling windows facing east. 202B has marble floors and granite countertops, high ceilings, smart TV’s in living room and bedrooms, DVD player, international cable TV, Wi-Fi, ceiling fans, washer/dryer, safes in each bedroom, bottled water and more. One complimentary parking space in the underground garage is included. High end quality bedding, iron, ironing board. Bathrooms include towels, hair dryers, and magnified make-up mirrors. Zoned AC with controls and ceiling fans in each bedroom and living room. On the acre plus common area, Magia Beach has 2 pools with a spacious outdoor area that includes a bar and fitness center, and open green space with lush tropical vegetation and chic seating areas. Guests are welcome at ASI Beach Club, located at El Taj Ocean, complimentary fitness center, 24 hour front desk and security, concierge services, discounts at our restaurants and more. Please note that not all units in Magia offer the above amenities. We operate as a condo hotel with all the advantages of a condo and all the amenities of a hotel. Magia is 1 block from world famous 5th Avenue, Playa del Carmen's main street. La Quinta, as it is also called, runs parallel to the shore and is a pedestrian walkway for almost 3 miles. The avenue is lined with an assortment of restaurants, shops, bars, making it one of the best nightlife spots in the Mexico. As Frommer’s says, "it seems as if everyone in town is out strolling along La Quinta until midnight." You’ll find everything from Mexican, French, and Italian restaurants (with Italian chefs), Starbucks, and Haagen Daz a Nike store, to souvenir shops. Major supermarkets are a quick 5 block walk (take a cab back for a few pesos or dollars) that have everything you need to stock the condo. Playa del Carmen is the major city in the Riviera Maya, a 120 km shore line with beautiful landscape and beaches. The first thing I loved about this condo is the organization and professionalism of the staff! They are very friendly and the check in process was stress free! The condo is beautiful, clean and well appointed. We love having the cleaning service option and the amenities are more like what you’d expect at a hotel. I expected a lot of club noise but there wasn’t much. A few loud people leaving clubs on the weekend but nothing like I was expecting that close to 5th. No beach for the condo itself but we walked down to ASI at El Taj to sit on the beach and order drinks. Fun seeing the fishing boats come in with their haul! I highly recommend Magia beachside and will be back! ##### Tracy M. The location is perfect. The view is outstanding. The pools are wonderful. Can’t say enough great things about this condo. And it had daily maid service. ##### Lisa D. The pool area was very nice. It was great location for all of the restaurants and 5th Ave. We were able to walk to the grocery store which was about 10 minutes. It was pretty loud at night being so close to all the activities. Our kids slept right through it but did wake us up occasionally. This is a great place to be right in the action! ##### Andrea A. This condo is gorgeous and spacious. As 5 people we had plenty of space to spread out when needed. The front desk is very helpful and responsive to all inquiries in-person or via whatsapp. The owner was helpful and responsive with questions ahead of our stay. The pools are very nice, lots of shallow space, not heated (so a little chilly in the winter). As for the location, it is SO close to 5th Ave. So many restaurants & shopping. You will need to walk a couple of blocks either way to get to a beach where you can lay out on and swim. We loved the little french bakery & El Doctorcito right outside the building. The restaurant has music until 11pm some nights and since the bedrooms back right to it, it can be loud. Overall we really enjoyed the safety (24 hour security guard to the right when you walk in), location, front desk (especially Kevin), & more. You get 2 sets of towels for pool/beach. White are ONLY for the pool, the striped ones are for the beach or to take on excursion...but don't lose them. ##### Sheri G. The pictures used to advertise this property are accurate. The kitchen is FULLY equipped and has everything that someone who enjoys cooking would need. There is a water dispenser, so you really don't need to buy bottled water. There is also daily housekeeping. You can opt to have housekeeping clean daily, change out your towels, or not clean at all. The beds are very comfortable. There is a large balcony with comfy seating off of the kitchen that overlooks the pool. There are actually two large living areas in the condo that you will notice as soon as you enter the condo. One area has a sectional with a television. The other living room area has two dark blue couches that sit opposite of each other. There is an apartment size washing machine and dryer. Beach towels and pool towels are provided. The unit has AC. It is close to 5th Avenue. Now for the cons. We were told in advance that we had to check-in at another location, but it was still inconvenient. When we arrived I was given the front desk's WhatsApp number so that I could communicate any needs or concerns that I had, but the front desk did not always answer when I called or text. We were given a bag of white towels/told to only use white towels at the pool. We were also given beach towels w/ brown stripes & told to use them at the beach. My adult son mistakenly took a brown stripe beach towel to the pool and was reprimanded by security, asked to leave, and return with a white towel. While I am on the issue of towels, we were a party of 5 and throughout our visit when towels were refreshed, housekeeping would only provide us with 4 sets of towels. For additional towels, we had to call the front desk that was located in another condo (Porto Playa). We NEVER visited the beach in Playa del Carmen, because of the seaweed. It stunk like crazy and the water was murky, not turquoise as I expected -not the owner's fault, but definitely VERY disappointing as it was our first visit to Mexico ever. As first time visitors, it would have been courteous to be informed that the beach would not be enjoyable. Informed by Lauren a couple days before our arrival. We chose Playa del Carmen for the beach, not the pool. Too much Noise from partygoers made it hard to sleep at night and workers working on another condo in the building awaken us in the morning. The pictures are spot on. The condo, as well as the Magia property, are beautiful and meticulously maintained. Three of us stayed in the condo during a workcation over New Years. The internet was plenty fast to support all our our remote work (video calls and other typical work) as well as enjoy our personal devices. The condo is very spacious, from the nice sized bedrooms to the large living space. The patio is fantastic as there is an outdoor dining table, day bed, and seating area to enjoy the views of the pool area/ocean. The location couldn't be any more perfect. You are a 2-3 minute walk away from an abundance of shopping and restaurants. There is also a small mini-mart about 2 blocks away (4 min walk) where you can buy snacks and drinks. You can also venture down 5th ave for endless options of restaurants. The condo comes with a VIP card when you check in that gets you 10% off at the Indigo Beach Club, Plank Gourmet Grill & Patio Bar, and a couple of other nearby locations. The condo has a WhatsApp number you can reach out to 24/7 to help with any of your needs. For other questions, Laura was always quick to respond and always had an answer. We had an incredible experience and will be recommending this spot to any friends or family looking to visit Playa Del Carmen. ##### Lucas H. Andreas checked us in and he was helpful the whole time. Condo was clean and quiet and had security. The only complaint that I would have is that we couldn’t talk on the balcony after 8pm and no one was around. We were not loud and didn’t have music on and were still asked by security to go inside 2 different nights. Overall, great experience. It had everything you could want or need. It was just a block from 5th Ave and the beach. The grounds and pool were well kept too. We never had to get in a cab because it was close to shopping, restaurants, beach, etc. I only gave 3 stars for the category of "Communication with the Property Manager" because I don't know who that might have been. The only negative was that we were not made aware of checking in at a different hotel and we arrived at 7:00pm. The glass doors only open if you have a code. We did not have a code. Finally some people came out and we took advantage of the open doors and ran in and found a worker who told us we had to go across the street to the other hotel and check in. There was one other issue with the open air bar across the street. They have a live band that starts at 9:00pm and it gets pretty loud when you are trying to sleep.
