Dated hotel but with big rooms, little bit noisy at night sometimes. I had street facing room and was disturbed a couple of times 2am to 4am by music and people passing by, Only 2 times out of 6 nights though. Staff are great, limited facilites, i.e no restaurant, there is a small pool but is shaded by the garden all day. Ok to have a dip and cool down

Location was great. Close to many good restaurants and shops. Walking distance to Cozumel Ferry. Clean room with excellent plumbing. Nice room features including bedside tables with lamps. Hotel is pet friendly. Lobby had a hot and cold water dispenser.

Quick overnight stay
Very basic hotel in a good location. Fine for our one night stay. Rooms could use a refresh. Staff friendly. Recommend for a short stay on a budget. Small pool that we didn’t have a chance to use.

Hotel was booked through Expedia and it was booked with two queen size beds, we arrive to hotel around 11 PM tired from trip. When we arrived they gave us 2 twin beds, which was not big enough because it was 3 of us myself my husband and my son. I begged for a bigger room which they could not accommodate until 3 nights later. Also there were no towels or pillows in our room, so we had to just wait it out until the next day.While we were sleeping their air conditioner unit leaked onto the counter and ruined my husbands cell phone along with other items. We brought it to their attention and they pretty much shrugged their shoulders and said there was nothing they could do. I had finally had enough and asked for a refund on the rest of my stay because I was booked for 5 nights, along with everything including the loss of a 600.00 dollar phone they also charged a penalty of one nights stay. I took it and went to another hotel a block away Hotel Delfin and they were amazing! Stay Away!!!!

Perfect for two people looking for a cheap place to stay right in town. Couldn't have asked for a better location, being only a block away from 5th Ave and the beach. The rooms are small but who needs to spend time in the hotel room when you're on vacation!

Stayed for business. Hotel was great, comfy, etc. Staff was a little pushy with my friends that were coming to my room for a few minutes as we prepared to go out. Hotel staff also missed cleaning my room one day.... I'd probably stay here again.

A bit far from their partnered beach area, but a nice place overall. If you are on a budget, then the basic room and services gets nothing extra, like buffet meals. That's fine because there are so many better options anyway. Friendly and helpful staff. Make sure you have a printed voucher from this site.

The hotel was nice. The room was clean and daily refreshed by staffing. If you need anything just go to the front desk and they will handle it. Simple as that. Spanish or English. Will book again

nothing about people, only money
The room is ok. Good air conditioner, silent. Internet connection working well. However, at this hotel the less important is the guest. The staff seems hate this job. Unfriendly, mechanical, never attentive or helpful when you need something. The exception are the ladies working during the breakfast (who don't belong to the Hotel staff, they are hired workers).

Great location and friendly staff! Lovely pool and grassy oasis to relax.
Only issues were no baby crib was available for our 10 month old.
Also water had a very strong chemical smell and the AC fan did not function well.
I would stay there again.

The hotel was perfect for what we wanted. Something just to sleep and keep our luggage at. The pool area is super cute and the staff was so nice and helpful! I recommend if you are looking for somewhere close to the beach and next to the town. Walking distance to restaurants, clubs and shopping!

Everything you might expect from a reasonably priced hotel close to the happening area in Playa del Carmen. The two downsides are that there is no parking, even off-street parking is really scarce and the breakfast could do with some improvement.

Near bus station, main action area, beach and ferry.
But off strip by a couple of blocks so quiet. Stayed first night in Playa del Carmen, then tried a couple of more character properties. Went back for the quiet and familiarity. Nice private courtyard and pool. Question the rack rate, but got a good last minute price.

Great value for price paid
I stayed here for a night and it was good.
Nothing luxurious, but necessary accommodation met.
Clean rooms, clean hotel, clean floors.
So far so good.
And for $50, not a bad deal.
Walking distance to all the nightlife too.
Good value for the money, very clean and staff was friendly and helpful. Excellent location and relatively close to the beach. We were there during Easter week and was difficult to find parking, the hotel does not have parking lot. Crowded on the beach club so we could not even get a towel or an umbrella.

NINA - by two 20 something girls
Clean room, nice situation: close enough to beach and restaurants etc but far enough from the nightlife noise.
Great hotel, secure and clean but one criticism: the floors and walls are very thin.
We were kept awake by the people upstairs who came in from a night out and walked around in heals which echoed through our room.
Overall good but ask for a room on the second floor an be considerate to the poor people below you!

I didn't like having to wear the arm band that supposedly allowed me access to the hotel. No one ever checked the arm band and it was annoying to wear. The staff spoke limited English. There was black mold growing on the ceiling in the bathroom. Poor ventilation in the room. The tv remote didn't work nor did the air conditioner

I've gotten such a good deal on this hotel, that I can't really complain. I wish they had a water cooler in the lobby, this is the first hotel in Mexico I stayed at that did not have water in public places. It also got loud sometimes till past midnight, but it's not really their fault. Other than that, this is conveniently located budget hotel and a good value for money.

This review title says it all.
This hotel insists that toilet paper be placed in the waste receptacle rather than be flushed down the toilet. This is especially challenging when one is experiencing Montezuma's Revenge.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone expecting to flush their soiled toilet paper.

I rented this place in particular because in the write up it stated that parking was free. Well it was free if you could find it on the street, and not get a ticket. There is no parking included here. Other than that I was content with the room and service. The front desk personnel were fluent in English and the place is safe and secure. Two minute walk to the beach down 6th (1.5 blocks west of 5th on 6th). Bars and restaurants are seconds away (3-4 blocks south of Coco Bongo). If you don't need parking and enjoy peace and quiet, this is for you. Lots of hot water. Rooms are simple, internet is included and works all the time. 21" (old school) TV with cable, couple English movie channels. Economical and clean. I would sum it up as a very basic place but worth the cheaper price.
