Island living is so quiet and private!! Palm Island is a barrier island on the Gulf of Mexico. & miles long between Sarasota and Sanibel Island on Florida's Gulf Coast. Access is ONLY by the ferry and or private boat. You drive your car onto the ferry and then directly to your vacation rental home. No crowds here, just miles of unspoiled, 100% natural Florida (the way it used to be!). World renowned shelling, fantastic sunsets, bird watching galore, kayaking, dolphins, gopher tortoise, and a lively lagoon where fish jump all day long. Walmart, Publix and Home Dept are only a 1-3 mile drive from the mainland ferry side. Unlike other Florida beaches with high rise buildings and traffic, Palm Island is seven miles of quiet, uncrowded beaches, lush wilderness and seclusion. This unit is very nice and well kept. The beds and bedding are very comfortable, kitchen and bathrooms are nice and clean, and well stocked with all necessities. This is one of few vacation rentals that actually has all the extras listed, and in good shape-beach chairs, paddle board etc, all kept in a nice shed on the ground floor so everything is in good condition. The golf cart rental was a great addition to our stay. Diane is very thorough with all her instructions and prompt with communication. The island is private, secluded, and quiet and that’s one of the reasons we love it, and the view from the porch and balcony are just stunning. It is also so great to have the pool right there and it is also well kept and clean. We definitely plan to return and appreciate Diane’s well hosted property! ##### Ilana B. Truly spectacular. 10/10 doesn't even cut it. Dolphin Beach was a gorgeous property steps from the ocean and a perfect pool. We found over 350 shark teeth on the beach right infront of our property. I also swam out to find sand dollars everywhere. We drove our golf cart around all week and played tennis on the court right across from the place. There was also a beautiful dock to park a boat. The island is magnificent. We saw 2 bald eagles, iguana's and a bob cat walking around and the weather was perfect the week we were there. No one drop of rain. The owner's are the nicest people and have truly made this place a walk-on property. Beach chairs, paddle board, towels, and everything you need for a kitchen to make dinner.
