AC went out first night for us and others, we stayed and moved, they left. Cabanas back to main road and are noisy. Doors don’t lock very well and fans don’t work.
The excursion of river tubing that the front desk recommended was way too shallow to tube. They still charged full price. It’s beautiful place, staff nice and food is good but way overpriced for what you get in my opinion.

The staff was the most friendly and interested in conversations then we have met in all our years of traveling throughout the Caribbean & Europe
The Turtle Inn property is exquisite. The beach is beautiful, the grounds landscaped, the flowers utterly lovely, and the villas so comfortable and charming.
Everything at Turtle Inn is exceptional, from the staff to the lodging to the food. The staff ensured that we always had something fun to do and helped us book day trips. The beach cottages are beautiful; we loved the screened in porch and the high speed ceiling fans and outdoor shower.

The novelty of the "shell phone" wore off quickly as it proved to be a terrible means of communication. The food was not that good compared to superior (and cheaper) options in town. From the photos we thought our cabana would be more private. One night we had an outdoor restaurant right next door and it also seemed to be a "cut through" for everyone else staying beachfront. Did not realize the resort was so close to the road - listening to traffic while sitting by the pool was not very relaxing. We were delighted to find we had a fridge in our cabana only to find it was crammed FULL of Coppola brand alcoholic beverages for sale. We thought this was incredibly tacky and something you might find at "Mar-a-lago." (also, I am a recovering alcoholic!) They completely forgot (or never wrote down) our breakfast order the day we were flying out and when reminded brought something we had not ordered (though they did fix it at my insistence) Upon checkout, we were charged for a wine tasting we never attended. (again, recovering alcoholic) The beach was not nearly as nice as the public beach in town. If you're into shelling out big bucks for mediocre food and service, or perhaps want to brag that you stayed at "Coppola's place" on your vacation, I suppose this place is for you. We would not stay again nor recommend Turtle Inn to anyone.
Nice property, friendly staff. Food was nice and amenities and excursions were nice. Only downside was the sidewalks around the property. They were very uneven and a bit of a hazard to the ankles.

Not that great at all
I wish is was more obvious to everyones eyes that theres NO AC in the units . It was hot as hell . Everyday we had to call and also ask to make our rooms.
Broken stone by the pool but seems like untill someone will actually cut his feet nothing will be done.
Inside the room getting into the shower its just a hazard.

Our first time to Belize and fortunate to have enjoyed it at the Turtle Inn. Truly can’t say enough about the staff, the facilities, and the overall experience! They go above and beyond to try to make your trip what you want it to be whether it’s expeditions or just sitting by the pools. Martin , the manager, really sets the tone with his staff from top to bottom it’s excellence ! Not to mention the resort’s dog Chip! Staff greets you by name and makes every attempt to create a welcoming atmosphere. Bravo! A plus plus plus
Wow! First timers visiting Belize (my sister and me) and won't be our last. Turtle Inn captured our hearts. We felt safe, valued, and relaxed! As frequent travelers (family is in the airline industry) we know good lodging when we experience it! Never have I extended a stay before and well, now I have! We cherished every single day at this resort. The staff were so friendly and kind. The food was great! We ended up doing several extras such as massages, snorkeling, and the sunset jungle hike!! So many wonderful memories were made here. We want to visit again by the end of 2021!! I would say my best advice for someone thinking about booking, just do it. Note, you do NOT need long pants or long sleeve anything! We were toasty (and from TX). Humidity is a thing so embrace the natural look! One note, we moved villas the last night. We were closer to the ocean but still tucked away and wish we had stayed at our original spot by the pool. We had much cooler temps in the room at night by the pool surprisingly. We also asked for extra room fans which helped! Turtle Inn is my new favorite spot. Truly a magical place.
Simply beautiful cabins with wooden shutters, no glass and (well maintained) bug screens. No AC, just celling fans and a through-breeze, which was enough to keep us cool and keep my footprint guilt in check. The private outdoor and indoor shower options were a nice touch, as was the large Japanese style bath.
Best vacation ever. Staffing is amazing and the hotel is a perfect beach getaway.

Too many sand flies or mosquitoes. Room does not have air conditioning and it gets hot. Bed bugs on the couch and veranda furniture. I am still itching 48 hours after leaving. Access to bathroom has a divider that if you forget in the middle of the night you will get hurt. Furniture and layout is very nice. Don't take the room behind the sea food restaurant. All the smell of the cooking will come into your room. Cabin 17 - avoid it.
Accommodations were clean, very comfortable and lovely. Beds were yummy and the outdoor shower was a little piece of heaven. Javier, Raul, Chef Jullian, Mark, Francis, Jimmy, Rocie, Wendy and so many more made sure that our every need was handled flawlessly and with a great deal of charm, caring and always smile!
The most beautiful place I have ever been. The resort is run perfectly from top to bottom. The service was incredible seems like every time you turned around someone else was there to take care of and pamper you.I truly believed I was in paradise
