Find hotels in Pitve from CA $40

For a truly relaxing and authentic experience in Pitve, the best area to stay is within the old village itself.

The old village of Pitve is located into the hills overlooking the sea, offering a peaceful escape. It's characterised by its narrow, winding stone streets, traditional stone houses, and stunning views of the surrounding olive groves and vineyards. The village church, St. Roch, is a central landmark, and you'll find a couple of excellent konobas (traditional taverns) serving local specialities.

Couples looking for a romantic and tranquil getaway will find the old village perfect. The quiet lanes, the charming architecture, and the sense of stepping back in time create a wonderfully intimate setting. Many of the houses have been beautifully restored into villas with private pools, offering a luxurious and secluded base to explore the island, or simply unwind.

For families, staying in a villa just outside the very centre of the old village can offer more space and amenities like larger gardens and swimming pools, while still being within easy walking distance of the village's amenities.

The best time to go to Pitve is during the shoulder seasons of late spring (May-June) and early autumn (September-October).

These months offer pleasant weather, with warm temperatures great for exploring and enjoying the outdoors, but without the intense heat and larger crowds of the peak summer months. You'll find that the local businesses are fully open, and the island maintains a relaxed yet lively option, ideal for those who appreciate comfort and a bit more space.

For couples looking for a romantic getaway, these periods are particularly appealing. The weather is great for leisurely strolls through the village, enjoying al fresco dining, and experiencing the island's natural beauty without the bustle. You can easily visit nearby vineyards for tastings or take boat excursions to secluded coves.

Families travelling with children will also find these times advantageous. The sea is warm enough for swimming, and activities are readily available.
