We loved being right in the gorge and close to so many amazing hikes, including a little right on sight. The house was definitely a cabin and had a little dust and spiders the first night but it cleaned up quickly. The driveway in was a little intimidating as well but the house was beautiful and so peaceful. The upstairs room never cooled down enough to really use and the tub took too long to fill but it was hot so we didn’t really mind. We loved the view and location! My brother and I, our spouses, and our adult children gathered for a few days for Thanksgiving. We loved the roomy kitchen that overlooks the family room. The rock face behind the cabin is amazing. And, we spent one afternoon hiking to the Natural Bridge, just a short drive away. We hope to come back and stay again in the future. ##### Kim S. We use it as a home base for climbing and it’s well located for that. When the weather is colder, it’s nice to comeback somewhere comfy and warm instead of roughing it out in a tent! ##### Robert S. None of us had done our research in advance to decide which area we wanted to climb or hike in so we loved being central and just picking something different (yet close by) every day! Really appreciated the big communal kitchen for gathering, and cozy living room below. Nice thermostat and heating/cooling system is good. Porch views in evening are fantastic over the changing leaves and the sunset.
