"What a great host and the setting was absolutely heavenly. We came so my wife and daughters experience Pico as it was the home of my Avo and Ava who where from Lages do Pico and they get to know there heritage. We will return again for a much longer stay and the people of the Pico are warm and friendly will to assist. The food was spectacular and it brought me back to my childhood growing up in a Azorean Portuguese family in California. Thank you and my Gods Blessings be with all in the Pico."

"The house was comfortable. The gentleman living in the adjacent home was very gracious, helpful and welcoming. The house is as listed. It is a short walk to the ocean. "Isa was so amazing with communication and helping me set up any needs that I had for my trip. There was a welcome basket with bread and cheese and tea and coffee and water which was so much appreciated. A beautiful setting on their banana farm and close to an amazing restaurant and nice hiking. I love that the property has a bathtub for after a long day of hiking. "The house location was good, the village and the natural pool very nice. *****BUT****** the house was not at all the one described. Only 2 rooms instead of 3 announced ! "Loved the house,loved the location. Miguel was quick to address any questions we had. My only criticism is that there was no comfortable place to sit. We encountered terrible downpours and were confined to the house for an afternoon. There was no sofa or even a comfortable chair to sit and read a book. However, saying that, I would not dissuade you from staying in this lovely home."

"This unit is not in Sao Roque. It is 20 minutes away. It was very difficult to find the unit. It is a nice house in a beautiful little remote village. Has an amazing view and is very close to the local natural pool. The restaurant served great food but does close early. "
