When we got there, we were worried about the neighborhood. There are lots of houses in the area, but also a lot of run down businesses. In the end we were all safe, but the feeling wasn’t the best in that area. The home was OK, but needs some repair and updating. The bathroom door doesn’t close well. It needs to be lifted to close properly. The bases to the beds are made of removable daybeds, but then the beds were comfortable. The lighting in the house are lamps and some were not plugged in and may not work. There was a TV in each room, but they are outdated and small. But they still worked fine. Overall, a good value for the money, but don’t expect perfection. Enjoy the dated feel and nicely stocked kitchen! That was great. Also we owned a rental property and know what our renters expect. We rented this property for three weeks while my partner was going through chemo treatment at Mayo clinic hospital. All we expected was everything to be clean and functional and quite frankly it was much less than that. We would have much rather paid the extra 20% and got what we expected. We had very few problems, and Amanda was available to quickly take care of all of them. The house was roomy and had an area where we could set up a sewing machine. The house is located close to a number of attractions. It is located between 7th Ave and 15th Ave. There is a grocery store and a post office a mile either side of 7th and a mall a couple miles down 15th. First off I want to say that the owner has been a wonderful host. There were some issues from the previous renters that had to be fixed and she definitely went above and beyond to make sure our trip was minimally impacted. The house was in great shape and in a really good neighborhood. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Phoenix I recommend this one.
