Hôtel inexistant !
The Irish place n'existe plus! Surtout ne réservez pas, vous allez payer hôtel.com pour rien et perdre un temps incroyable à essayer de vous faire rembourser !
It didnt exist. The hotel is now only a bar. After traveling 27 hours I had no room!! When I booked this room the Travelocity booking agent called the hotel to confirm our late check in. I think they should have mentioned that the number was changed over a year ago. The owner of the bar said he contacted Travelocity but they get the occasional person who booked with Travelocity looking for a room

Happy to stay again.
Stay was good. Very handy to all of city, service at front and bar was great . Made you feel welcomed. The rooms were not serviced but ok as for money was cheap. Is suited for single person .
After travelling through South East Asia for a month, this place made us not pay for any accommodation before seeing it.
When we arrived they initially sent us away, even though we booked and paid already. After a troublesome discussion the girl at the bar (who apparently has to run bar, act as reception and clean rooms at the same time) asked us to wait so she could clean the room. Finally after 30-45 minutes we followed her over stairs full of dirt, dust and death cockroaches and geckos to our supposedly recently cleaned room. The room was dirty with sigarette butts everywhere, dirt on the floor that gave us black feet after a few steps and to top it all off an unflushed toilet, where a pile of human feces had been making the entire room stink (since there was an opening between the bathroom and the bedroom). The airco didn't work properly, the curtain was hanging loose so there was always light in the room and there was no hot water. The place was clearly understaffed, with a cook that just hangs out in the bar in case someone wants to order food while one girl is left running the bar, "cleaning" the rooms and seeing to the needs of the hotel guests. Those girls (from both shifts) were really friendly though and tried to help us the best they could with the limited time they had available. But with a dilapidated place like this that simply wasn't enough to overcome the horrible state this room was in.
I recently had the pleasure to stay at The Irish Place Pub for two weeks. I couldn't have chosen a better location to spend time in Phnom Penh. The owner and staff went well beyond what one might find in the standard hotels throughout SE Asia. With a pub on the ground floor, excellent location, and friendly staff, I would highly recommend this establishment. I can't emphasize enough the sheer pleasure of my all too short stay at The Irish Place Pub.
