Il est évident que les photos fournies sur le site sont très prometteuses mais la réalité est toute différente notamment la chambre du bas avec d' énormes trous au plancher, on peut craindre de passer au travers à chaque instant ! une climatisation d'un bruit hors du commun... sans compter la visite des rats dès la nuit tombante ! Location à éviter à tout prix et si on " s'est fait avoir" Comme moi., il faut fuir cette habitation en milieu de séjour ! des que possible. There was basically a COT in the room ……. that was it!!!! Not even a stand with a small lamp. The COT just was in the middle of the floor. Nothing else. If you’re staying in the city and have no plans of going outside of it, the location is perfect (however, not the best of neighborhoods). If you are going outside of the city, it’s a rather aggravating drive. I would not recommend it for that. A 1 or 2 night stay IN THE CITY is good though. TheU-BnB has to be West Philly's best kept lodging secret --- I normally stay in hotels but this trip opted to try something different, and I am SO glad I did! From the moment I booked, I felt completely comfortable -- the communication from the owner was immediate and detailed. I arrived in the wee hours of the morning and struggled to find parking on the street (Friday night) but I managed, and the rest of my stay it was totally doable, I was able to park very close. So much was within walking distance, as well -- the location is excellent. The apartment has been renovated very well, it's SO clean, and oh-so-charming! And perfectly affordable! I was a little nervous about the spiral staircase but I got used to it and I absolutely LOVE the vibe. (It should be noted that the bathroom is on the second level of the main floor apt, in case you struggle with stairs.) I found the bed to be super comfortable and the bedding is soft and welcoming after a long day of touring Philly. The back patio is totally private and relaxing, as well. I literally CANNOT say enough about how much I love this place, and I can't wait to go back!! The location was close enough to take an Uber into the main city part of Philadelphia. The bedding was very comfortable. Communication with the host was great and they messaged me throughout my stay to see if I needed anything which I appreciated. I liked that there was a full kitchen and living/dining area. The kitchen and living area is reached by a narrow spiral staircase. I only went up there a couple times but the space was nice. The spiral staircase wasn't too much of a problem for me personally, but it is something to keep in mind if you are a person with mobility issues. The price was great considering it was a full apartment to myself. Overall house condition is okay. Quite old, only partially renovated. Also a bit noisy when the air conditioner or the washer is running. On the other hand, it is spacious and not pricy. The kitchen and the in-house laundry is very convenient. The stairs may be the only thing that took me a little while to get used to. Fortunately, my size is small. If you are tall and strong, this may not be a good option for you. Owner is also very nice and flexible. So I was able to do an early check in without dragging my luggage on the street for hours.
