This really would be my go-to place for future Fishtown trips, perfectly placed for the things I like to frequent. However, for my arthritic knees, the stairs leading to the apartment and the stairs to the bedroom/living area were too steep to consider staying here again. The location was terrific, walkable to everywhere in Fishtown. The steps, while mentioned in the listing, were difficult for someone of my short stature; while very steep, I managed to navigate them. The bathroom trip in the middle of the night from the 3rd floor to the 2nd floor was an interesting experience. The bed on the 3rd floor was not super comfortable, and the table and chair upstairs were also not very comfortable. If your goal is to spend all your time doing something else, this place is perfect to drop your stuff and go about town. It is certainly cozy, but it's comfortable, clean and well appointed - an excellent spot for for 1-2 people. The back deck is a really nice bonus space in addition to the bedroom & kitchen! Al was very responsive and easy to communicate with, and all the instructions for my stay were clear. And it is in a seriously good location - a 5-10 min walk to some of the best restaurants, bars & shops in Philly, and a couple blocks from the train for getting anywhere around town. I am a former Philly resident and was amazed to find such an affordable, well located and comfortable option for my recent stay! Highly recommended, I'd absolutely stay here again. ##### MARINA F. Its not surprising Al is a Super Host!! The property was clean, cozy and Adorable. Great, Safe neighborhood. I actually stayed in 2 different units as the steps proved to be hard for me. I contacted Al about a possible switch to a ground floor unit, if available. With in an hour I was switched over and it was Perfect!!! He even checked on me later to see how I was doing.
