"The owner is really nice and helpful. Bed was comfortable. I stayed in the private room and it is nice and spacious for 1 or 2 people. Train, stores and pharmacy are all nearby. Great place to stay during carnaval as it is away from all the party, so you can rest well for the next day. "

"This was a great first stop in Brazil! There is nothing like starting your journey out in prayer and greatfulness on top of their private mountain with sugarloaf Christ the Redemeer and the other side of the city all within a turn. There are many reading nooks across the property to calm down after all your adventures. The entire was clean and the sheets even had a faint smell of bleach meaning you know you are in a good place. Even the matresses were clean. They have frozen meals for purchase...

"Super clean, friendly, and well-maintained hostel in the heart of Copacabana. The staff is very warm and easy-going, I became friends with everyone quickly :). I liked how they updated the activities board daily and invited me to events going on that day. I even joined the Caipirinha-making class run by one of the staff, it was so much fun!

"Wonderful staff. The place itself is very well located, but the bunkers are not very solid and are made from light wood (I was on the top one and all night waking up because every time the guest underneath me moved, the whole bed moved too). The communal shower is also very tight. Overall, budget friendly for backpackers who don't mind a certain degree of discomfort "

"It’s a beautiful historic property! The architecture, furnishings, murals and grounds are stunning. The location is excellent for walk ability to conveniences and points of interest. The staff are very helpful and accommodating. The food was mostly excellent. I loved using the saunas and hot pool. The only negative is that, as an older building in a damp climate, there was some mustiness"
Castelo de Itaipava - Hotel, Eventos e Gastronomia
8/10 Good
"Everything considered, it was a very very good place to stay for 3 nights. My only small complaint is that the place is kind of in the middle of nowhere, and outside of the hotel itself, there is little or nothing to do."
"My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Tankaman. We stayed at the Cabin with Spa inside and what a treat! Beautiful property, with natural swimming pool, steam sauna, "ufuro", etc. The staff is very well trained and available to pretty much do anything you want after a short phone call of WhatsApp message, including setting up any meal at your Cabin. They do not charge corkage fees so bring your own wine. Breakfast is served at any time and it is amazing! Close to the breakfast area, you also have a dry sauna and a swiming pool. Lastly, there were two internal hikes (1-2 miles) which are worth exploring.
We will definitely be back. Thanks Tankamana!"
"Hotel bien situé, prêt des service et attraction. Le gros probleme est que le matelas etait dans une condition épouvantable, douleur toutes les nuit a cette hotel, les vibration causé par les vehicules et transports dans la rue, était impressionnante."
