If you want a quiet stay not far from places to visit then this is it! Great host's and staff, comfortable rooms and what's more fantastic food!! So good have booked again. Definitely recommend it!! 😃😃

Great stay.
Lovely location and great place to stay with beautiful surroundings,the food was a high standard jacky and Steve are great hosts as well so friendly,great selection of drinks as available. Only very small criticism is the orange powder (paprika?) which is sprinkled on the cooked breakfast…..not needed in my opinion 😃

Great find - about 7 miles from Penrith
Really friendly pub stay. Food excellent we had Breakfast and evening meal. Room lovely. Had a very good two nights.

A hidden gem. Loved the whole place from the atmosphere, the food, the spacious room and the owner and staff. Very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Hope to return.

Penrith trip
Everybody Very pleasant with excellent service. A good varied menu, very tasty and good portion size. Room very comfortable and quite surroundings. Slightly expensive but get what you pay for I suppose.

It was a traditional village pub and hotel. Food and drink were excellent. Even put us up a packed lunch for a walk since we weren't having breakfast.

Traditional inn with clean and bright rooms. Lovely bar area with real fire. What really sets this place apart from the competition is the food. Restaurant quality yet home made. I ate far more than I’d intended to and loved every bite. Would highly recommend visiting here for a meal even if you’re not staying over.

Stay over for business in Penrith. Excellent tasting food large meal. Beer good quality, room clean and no issues. Family run business friendly helpful staff. Left early in the morning so no breakfast but pack lunch given instead

Charming inn close to Penrith
A nice quiet stop over fairly close to M6. Culgaith is a small village in a fine rural setting. The Black Swan is a welcoming inn with excellent food and a cosy bar.

We really enjoyed our stay, the staff were excellent and made us feel very welcome. The family room we were in had a separate bedroom for our son all within the same suite, which was great.
