"Everything was nice, I have no complaints"

"I'll write this here, because when I try to send direct feedback on the survey the property sent, the capta security doesn't work and never allows it to submit: To the hotel: You already know this based on many reviewers' comments on here over the years, but the complete lack of soundproofing from the squeaking exposed floorboards from above (my room's ceiling) and hearing neighbors speaking between the walls desperately needs to be fixed. Aesthetically the hotel is beautiful. Functionally, it's close to unusable as a hotel for guests on Floors 2-4. If someone is staying in the room above you, forget about it, your stay is constant squeaking. Fortunately, our front desk person empathized and was able to move us from the 3rd floor to a 4th floor Accessible room on a sold out night in order to escape the constant ceiling floor creaking above us. Without that, I would have likely required a refund and found another hotel. Also, surprised how well we could hear our neighboring room's conversation. They weren't talking loud, but we could hear them no problems. You already know all this. Looking at reviews after the fact, you've been told many many times about the unacceptable sound proofing for this class of hotel. In the end: Beautiful hotel. Functionally poor. "

"The shower would not stop leaking, underneath the beds. There were trash and old fruit snacks. They charged me $100 security deposit that I still have not gotten back for a room that was in terrible condition when I got there. The room smelled like cigarette smoke. And right outside our room there was an old bureau with trash, literally piled on top of it the only positives of the experience where that there were no bugs, and the door locked. It’s fine for a night or two but any longer, and I would have lost my mind."

"We had an excellent stay at this clean, well furnished house that is centrally located in the city of Lancaster. For starters, the rent for the house is an excellent value for a 5-bedroom house. As noted previously, the house was very clean and well furnished, and the check-in and check-out process was easy and straightforward. There is plenty of parking in the lot that is immediately behind the house. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who is planning a trip to Lancaster,The only two downsides of the property was that the hanging rod in the closet in the master bedroom was unattached to the wall, which precluded hanging clothes on it, and that most of the drawers in the dresser in the master bedroom were full with bed linens. That said, these two "complaints" are really nit picks and are easily fixable. They are not enough to distract from the overall "5" rating that I gave this property."
