Marcella Royal Hotel - Rooftop Garden

Marcella Royal Hotel - Rooftop Garden

10/10 Excellent
"Less than a 15 min walk from the station the hotel is in a perfect place to explore the city. The room, although not large, was very comfortable and the bathroom was well-appointed and clean. The rooftop restaurant was perfect for breakfast with a view and there was a great choice of food from the buffet. The staff were friendly and helpful with recommendations for restaurants. The free welcome drink was appreciated but it would have been good to have a kettle in the room as we were unable to have tea in the morning."

"The property was very clean and air conditioned. We had a problem with the sofa bed on day 1 of our trip but Francesco and Vita sorted this by moving us to a bigger apartment without any additional charge. Very thankful for sorting this. The property is a 10-15 min walk to the Roma Termini station which makes it an ideal place to explore Rome. I highly recommend."

8/10 Good
"Adequate for a solo traveler to Rome. Just be aware if you are a US traveler (or someone who lives in cool climates): the air conditioning in the rooms is woefully inadequate during the dead of summer. I went on the hottest week of summer in Rome and my hotel room did not cool down to “room temperature”, i.e. 70 degrees (20.5 Celsius). It was fine for being able to sleep, but it’s telling when after 5 days the first time I was able to feel like I had solid air conditioning to feel like I was home was on a bus ride to Pompeii. Aside from that, it’s a cheap option for someone who wants to travel to Rome on a budget. I would definitely staying here in the winter though."

"It was such a nice stay ! I truly enjoyed my time here. We had a nice view of the city .The staff were very nice and the breakfast options were good . The only thing I would say it is hard to get in contact with the front desk at night time. We had an issue with our hot tub one night and were unable to reach front desk by phone & had to rush downstairs to receive help."
