King George Beach Retreat

King George Beach Retreat

10/10 Excellent
"The house is exactly as it looks, a wonderful timber shack on one of the most beautiful beaches we’ve stayed at. The location and host was 100% 5 stars! Sitting on the back deck watching dolphins swim past during a sunset is next level. The fireplace dominates the ambiance in the living area and it warms the house so nicely. We will be heading back again for sure."

Lovely 3 bedroom home with river views. Perfect location to explore the Island.

Lovely 3 bedroom home with river views. Perfect location to explore the Island.

8/10 Good
"The house was very comfortable and beds excellent! I am not up to date with electronics so I found the TV /Video VERY confusing. Apparently I needed to find the ‘source’ button on the tv remote ( I texted Tamara to get that info) I had to look this up on Chat GPT as I had no idea what this looked like. After finding it, I remembered from my own TV that I needed HTV2 but that didn’t work. A friend took over and suggested HTV 3 which finally worked. Pls could home owners write all this down carefully so that those of use who don’t have modern TVs can follow precise instructions. And have the info up to date nearby so easily found."

Kangaroo Island Supashak - Modern take on iconic Australian Shack

Kangaroo Island Supashak - Modern take on iconic Australian Shack

10/10 Excellent
"The Supashak did not disappoint. As you drive up, you may be mistaken for its unassuming facade, however as soon as you enter you can tell it’s special. The best part are the little visitors you’ll meet each night from around 5/5.30pm. They’ll keep you entertained for hours from the dining window, so no need for the TV. The premises were beautiful and clean, and the coffee machine was a very welcome addition! The only issue were the mozzies, so come well equipped with mozzie repellent. Also, there isn’t a lot of food options near by so pack a good supply for meals. If you’re heading to Vivonne Bay, give this place a spot on your list!"

RoolagoonHomestead large deck and large gardens ideal for families. Pet friendly

RoolagoonHomestead large deck and large gardens ideal for families. Pet friendly

10/10 Excellent
"Good location in the middle of the island. Nice house with lovely garden surroundings where native birds can be seen from the windows. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly which is helpful in a fairly isolated area. We had some cold items and early check in could be accommodated so we could use the fridge. The hosts cooked some pizza for us on Saturday night which was good as there are no local restaurants and driving at night is not recommended due to wildlife on the roads."

The stars at night were unbelievable! Totally off the grid and relaxing and special!"
