Everything is close at hand, there is a couple of bars nearby a shop or two and a Gym. 10 mins walk will get you to the harbour and you will find restaurants and bars to suit everyone. It is in walking distance to the shore front (20 mins or so) and restaurants so we didn’t need a hire car, and is in a nice quiet location. The host, Matt, couldn’t have been more welcoming, helpful or responsive to queries, helping us extend our time as we’d a late evening flight. It’s only a 15 minute walk to the harbour which is a lively place to eat, drink, swim and shop. There’s plenty of archeological sites to see within walking distance too, but if you’re going to either the water park or tombs of kings I’d recommend booking a taxi, as we walked and found both a bit too much in the heat. The house itself has everything you need, access was easy, kitchen well stocked, beds are reasonably comfy and spacious bedrooms both with air con, also an air con unit in the lounge but that didn’t work as well as the bedroom units, which was fine for us as we’re a family of 4 so didn’t sleep on the lounge bed. If you use the downstairs toilet DO NOT lock the door. My daughter did and got locked in as, unless there’s a knack to it, it only unlocks from the outside. The pool here is great, never got really busy or noisy either, and can be used 8-8pm which was great for me to get a few lengths in. There’s a super restaurant up the road only about 5 minutes walk, Pambis. Friendly staff, good food and good prices. There’s also a couple of supermarkets and a take away (street food style) en route that has most things you’d need. All in all a lovely holiday and I’d definitely recommend this property. Matthew was super helpful booking our transfer from the airport which all went smoothly. Sep 3, 2025 Liked: Communication Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, location Bed was like a rock, dirty,cat scratched, nicotine stained (i hope), i bought my own protector and sheets to be able to sleep there. parasol was ripped, every area was dirty, dirty washing was left in the property and there wasnt enough towels or bedding.Sofa bed is broken and not fit for purpose, despite the best efforts to fix it it collpapsed again soon after.Patio furniture is unsafe, cracked and broken. The bushes on the path to the property are overgrown and the path was littered with cigarettes. The owner did drop "fresh bedding" but, wasnt at all remorseful about the state of the property. We bought air beds and our own bedding from a "jumbo" in the end to get by.Wasnt expecting the Ritz, but,was expecting a clean property with functional furniture and bedding. The pool area is basic, no complaints about the complex which is mainly privately owned. There's about 6 at a push 7 parking spaces, these are usually all taken so you have to risk your car on the road.The noise levels around here were unreal, dont expect to sleep very well!!! Der Vermieter war zwar per E-Mail erreichbar aber hat nichts veranlasst, als wir mitgeteilt haben, dass wir die gesamte Immobilie am Abend als wir angekommen sind erstmal gründlich putzen mussten. Es war aber nicht nur die Sauberkeit der Böden ein Problem, sondern auch die Sauberkeit der Hausgegenstände und vor allem Küchenutensilien. Alles war verstaubt und der alte Schmutz auf Küchenutensilien hat sich kaum entfernen lassen, so dass diese erkennbar seit langem nicht sauber gemacht worden sind. Die Einrichtung und Gegenstände die in der Immobilie drin standen, waren leider nicht kindertauglich. Einen kinderstuhl war auch nicht vorhanden und der Vermieter hat uns da auch nicht wirklich weiterhelfen können oder wollen. Wir hatten die Immobilie für 10 Tage und hatten bereits am Anfang angegeben, dass wir ein einjähriges Kind haben. Das heißt ein kinderstuhl war für uns wichtig, also mussten wir nach Nikosia mit dem Auto fahren und einen Kinderstuhl von Ikea besorgen. ##### Nazanin R. It is a good house, in a good location on a nice complex. The bonus for us is that it has it's only little private area where you can sit and not be disturbed. The location was perfect within a 15 min walk of everything. The farm shop close by was great for fresh produce at a reasonable price. There are plenty of places to eat and we went to the local pub the Rugby Arms for the weekly quiz and Sunday lunch. Our family came to stay and there was a cot and even a buggy and the small private garden was ideal for our little grandson to play safely in. We would recommend it to anyone. ##### Judy K. It is a lovely little property on a small complex. It does face the road (but just go out the back door to the pool). We preferred this as you are away from others. There is a small semi private patio. totally enclosed from the road, plenty of outdoor chairs and sunbeds and a couple of parasols. Actual accommodation is lovely, one room downstairs with sofas, dining table and kitchen which has a washing machine. Up a few stairs to the loo, then carry on up to 2 well sized bedrooms, a bathroom (with shower over the bath) and an en-suite walk in shower room with sink. There is air conditioning, which was needed as it was very hot and all the kitchen utensils you need for a weeks stay. Bonus of good wi-fi connection and English TV. House is actually a short walk down to the beach and harbour but that is good as it is away from all the noise of the late night bars. Everything was well maintained and clean and every need had been anticipated, especially in the kitchen area. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of wardrobe space. Outside it really was private and we often had breakfast, lunch and dinner on the patio, even in November ( which proved to be a great time for a really sunny holiday when the UK was having a cold spell.) We had a hire car, and found the location of the house very convenient for visiting other villages and towns. The large supermarket in the Kings Avenue mall has an underground car park, was well stocked and was easy to pop into on the way home. It is indeed only 20 minutes walk from the house to the beach, although ,again, in November it was easy and free to park near the harbour. We also used the local shop just up the road and the restaurant, Pambi's, mentioned by others. The welcome there was warm, the portions large and appetising, and the entertainment cheerful. Of the beaches nearby we really liked the Lighthouse beach and Coral beach. Further afield, Laatchi has good fish restaurants and pleasant sun bathing facilities. In the other direction Pissouri is an attractive beach village . Matthew was quick to respond to queries and provided clear instructions and useful tips.We hope to visit again. ##### Rosemary H. Kitchen has all equipment required for both short or long stays. Outside Patio area was great for breakfast, evening eating or just relaxing with a small glass of wine, very private. Both bedrooms were large with plenty of storage & the hairdryer was a bonus. The bathroom and shower room were very clean. Shower off 2nd bedroom was excellent, as was additional toilet downstairs. Linens & towels are provided. The balcony area from the double bedroom was nice for sitting and reading. Sofas in the lounge were comfortable and great for TV viewing, whether watching available British TV programmes or a DVD. Numerous additional extras available to make any stay worthwhile: radio, ipod/iphone player, books, DVDs and board games. Communal pool is an excellent facility, helping to cool down, accessible from property via a small walkway from the front door and private patio area We did not hire a car, and found that we could walk most to most places within 20 mins, although walking back uphill from the Harbour took slightly longer in the heat. There is a kiosk within 4 mins walk for essential goods, and Pambi's diner another 2 mins walk further for convenient eating, the portions here are huge. There are another 2 Kiosks within 9 and 11 mins walk from the property. Number of different routes to Harbour area, along back roads, via Bar Street, along the main road to the Church, etc. There are numerous eating places along the route to the Harbour as well as along the sea front to suit all tastes and budgets, all portion sizes are large. E-cosi is best for ice cream, directly opposite the bus terminus, extensive flavours a must try. Alkion Restaurant also great eat with set menu & al-a-carte. Number 603 bus route is near to the property either near the Farm Kiosk or Ikarou Street, circular route to the Harbour. Kings Avenue Mall is within 30-35 mins walk if retail therapy required. I would recommend taking a bus into the Old Town from the Harbour as the walk is steep. Buses run from the Harbour into the Water Park and Coral Bay, along with a number of other locations and villages for 1.50 single trip, 2.50 return trip, 5 day ticket, 20 weekly ticket, great value. From the moment we arrived we felt at home and having only brought hand luggage everything was there that we needed. Beach towels, bath towels and much more. Nice and clean. The best part was that because this property is a corner plot it had a secluded patio away from the pool but still only a few feet away down it's own private path. Ideal for relaxing to read a book out of the sun with privacy. Although we had a car it was close to the supermarkets and 'Pambis' a lovely little friendly restaurant. The car allowed us to visit many other favourite eating places and to see the island. Description and photos of property were as described in the description of the property.
