Room was nice, but for a "Penthouse", you think you would have privacy, but we shared the balcony with the "Penthouse" room next to us. The balcony was super bright at night, and they would not allow it to be turned off, nor was there a switch for it. The balcony also looked down on to Harpoon Harry's dining deck. One of the nights there was a private party at Harpoon Harry's, and loud booming music played until almost 1am. To call this room a "Penthouse" is a joke. We enjoyed ourselves as best that we could. Wait, the first several nights there was a large group of Elks, or Moose lodge folks that practically blocked the stairs going up to the parking lot. They were nice, but come on. The only place to shower off after leaving the beach was by the pool and one of the set of stairs coming up from the beach. The steps closest to us shower did not work. I don't know...to me it was not worth the price at all, and we made friends with several people who said the same thing. Yea, not going back.

We arrived earlier than check in time and was told our room was not ready, which was fine at the time. Then we experienced strong storms and had to shelter in a store for a couple hours, and when we called for an update we were met with rudeness and told “it will be soon”. We arrived 5 min before check in time, and saw 3 other people come and go before us with their rooms ready and I was told a 3rd time our room wasn’t ready and there was no timeframe when it would be. Mind you, this was a standard king bed room so not something extravagant. This was in the middle of severe storms that we were out in for a few hours, and when I expressed my concern the front desk associate rolled her eyes at me and then another told me “it was a training day.” Are you serious? I asked for the GM and was met with the assistant GM who offered me an upgrade at no cost and was ground floor, ocean view. I appreciate what she did, but there was no reason for this trouble. The staff there besides the assistant GM were all rude and unprofessional. I will not be staying here again.

The beach was wonderful, the staff was friendly, the facility was older but clean. There were not many restaurants close to the facility; however, there was a nice shopping area with restaurants a couple miles away. Can't say enough about the beautiful beach!

The most thing I like about chateau resort is that all the staff give you a warm welcome . And they also ave free coffee and refreshment. I love it there to be honest.

The property itself was great. Our view from our room was amazing! However the front desk staff wasn’t very helpful when we asked when we would get our room cleaned. Being it’s beachfront you would think they come every other day but the front desk staff stated “it’s on our policy, room service doesn’t go until the fourth day” which we were never told or aware of that. We had to go purchase our own broom, take out our own trash, and even ask for toilet paper all before the 4th day. After several attempts of asking when we would get room service even after the 4th day they went that night because they had someone on staff available. Which I found very weird but just glad they finally had changed out our sheets and given us clean towels. It was a good stay but probably won’t be staying there again.

Close to the beach and soft beds. Many stairs. The parking area/hotel lobby is actually on 3rd floor. You walk down one level for pool -on second floor and two levels for beach. Definitely not handicap accessible. No elevators. Also i put the deposit on one card and changed to another at check in yet i see pending charges on both cards. They said it is just a hold but i will see.

Great location. Older property and not the cleanest feeling. Bedding was scratchy. Employees were always friendly and I felt safe there as a lone traveller which is more important than clean floors. For the price, I would go back.

Room was filthy. Floor was so dirty our white socks were black after crossing the room. The bath and shower had no grab bars or non slip prevention. We almost slipped and fell while taking a shower and exited the tub. Faucet in shower was coming out of the wall. The hot and cold handles in the sink were backward. No wash cloths were provided. Lights next to the bed did not work nor did dthe phone.

Stayed at Chateau Beachfront for Thunderbeach 2024 and my stay would 4 out of 5 Stars. I give it a 4 because of some minor concerns but the Hotel is addressing and should have fixed for next year. The Kitchenette Rooms were great and would recommend for anyone staying at Chateau. That said, when rooms needed service it took a while for cleaning service to respond. Overall, parking was good, overflow lot could've been bigger for vehicles and trailers to park during the week. Overall stay was great and access to the beach was amazing. Look forward to next year.

I have always loved the Chateau & have stayed here numerous times throughout the years. They recently did a remodel & it’s nice! Our room was nice, beds were comfy & clean, the bathroom needed a little re-haul but overall it was clean & that’s all that matters. 10/10 would stay here again.

This property is old but they are renovating the rooms as much as possible. The pool and view is great. The location is wonderful - right on the beach! However, the staff is less than helpful. They are not courteous and it takes complaining to the manager to get anything done…. Which he did take care of but it was a constant battle

Check in fee shad changed at check in they were trying to charge more. I was able to show my Expedia reservation. They did honor them. Front desk only had one person working. Had a long line to check in, with no available seating to wait. This made for a very long check in.

I love staying here, it’s very layed back and you can’t beat the view! The rooms could be a little cleaner and you should have brooms in the room for all the sand! Definitely one of my favorite spots it’s cheap and nice ❤️

The beach is great but the beach chairs are not free, the pool area is run down and smelled like vomit. The room itself was clean: clean sheets and blankets, but the bathroom was very run down. Toilet overflowed and when the cleaners were done cleaning, the door was left ajar with all of our belongings inside!

If I could select zero I would. I have travelled 60 countries in 40 years, never have I wished I would write a zero rated review ever. I reserved for the love of my life’s vacation. I purchased based on the images provided to Expedia. The images do not represent the room or the property we were shown. Unfortunately this management has a no refund policy no matter what you think. Expedia even tried on our behalf to explain this matter to Chateau Beachfront staff with no success. The property images are not true, this constitutes fraud. I will contact my Mastercard Fraud Department and lodge a complaint. We did not receive the product or service we purchased. Remember folks that you can always apply for a charge back from your Credit Card Company

The upgrades from many years ago are very nice. Outside areas are well thought out and implemented, with a good bit of pleasant sitting areas with astro turf. A beautiful pool; plenty of chairs/loungers; a tiki bar and great landscaping make the stay very worthwhile. Clean rooms with updating here also. Staff is very nice and attentive to detail. We booked for the location on the beach and paid a fairly low price for the view. This was not a 5 star hotel and we didn’t expect it to be for the price. The pool is not heated but was great. The lounge areas were well cared for. We had an affordable good breakfast from the tiki bar. Rooms are a little dated but suited us (dad and 2 kids) just fine. The view from our room in 303 was amazing! True oceanfront.

This property was absolutely disgusting. You have a very beautiful opportunity with the views but the entire experience outside of that, was horrible. Hair all over the shower. The floors had a dirty film on them. The bathroom smelled moldy and like pee. The bathtub does not drain properly, the toilet had a PILE of said in it, had to be flushed multiple times and dirty on the lid.I didn’t even attempt to eat and food or beverages because I didn’t trust anything was sanitary. I am not a review person at all as far as leaving them, but this needs to be fixed quickly. No clean towels, trash taken out or refresh if the bathroom ever happened. So much more but please please please do better. The staff does not seem to care as they complained for the 25min it took me to get checked in. Please do better. This is absolutely ridiculous.

We stayed in the room with 2 bedrooms (family suite) It’s a great location with Harpoon Harry’s right next door. It is very strange that one of the bathrooms doesn’t have a sink in it or even close by. The furniture isn’t comfortable and there was not a place to sit and eat. There is no place to hang towels and only 2 dressers for.a room that sleeps 8. Lastly, There was a cockroach in the room. The guy came in and sprayed for bugs under the sink but sprayed all the stuff under the sink without moving it. It was a good place for a bunch of kids but not really set up for a family.
