Palterton Vacation Packages

The bedroom was clean, cool and comfortable, with a very good Freeview television unlike other hotels in Sheffield! The bathroom was very clean with a powerful shower, although the flush on the loo needed a lot of strength. The pool was clean and staff very helpful, with generous towel width. Noise was a factor as even early on Sunday morning there seemed to be a live band nearby. Breakfast was less than ideal with no gluten free options, table spoons given to eat cereal with and only fried eggs on offer as the egg option. Reception looked as though it was under siege with the ceiling opposite held up by two wooden struts. As customers had to pass under this ceiling to reach the lifts, the sense of having the building on top of one's head was palpable.

We had a good stay. Apartment was nice and spacious for 2 people and had everything that was needed for a weekend stay. Good location.

Property is well located very near the promenade and the excellent tram service. The property is shabby but clean and most things worked . New owners took over in April 19 and are clearly trying to brighten up the property. Near to Ma Kelly’s on the North Promenade if that’s your thing. Good free Wifi.

Lovely property, everything was described. Would have happily stayed longer.

Our room on the second floor was clean and had blinds to keep out the light at night. It was adequate but, no doubt to keep in style with being the oldest hotel in Great Britain, it wishes to retain an oldie worldie charm so the decor may appear outdated. Our bathroom could do with a revamp as the toilet seat was loose and one of the shower heads was leaking and wouldn't stay in position. Breakfast was the 'help yourself style' and there was sufficient choice. However, the breakfast room seemed to lack atmosphere. The staff were pleasant enough.
