The best time to visit Palmwag in the Kunene Region of Namibia is during the dry season, which runs from May to October.During these months, the weather is generally cooler and drier, making it more comfortable for safaris and outdoor activities. The sparse vegetation and reduced water sources also mean that wildlife, such as the desert-adapted elephants and rhinos, tend to congregate around the permanent waterholes, making them easier to spot. This period is ideal for those seeking excellent wildlife viewing opportunities without the intense heat of the summer months.Couples looking for a romantic and adventurous getaway will find this time particularly appealing. The clear skies and cooler evenings are superb for stargazing, and the reduced chances of rain ensure that game drives and guided walks are rarely interrupted. The lodges often have lovely outdoor areas where you can relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. For those interested in photography, the dry season offers fantastic light and clear visibility for capturing the unique landscapes and wildlife of the Kunene Region.
