The hotel is in a great location, about 10 minutes walk to the historic centre.
Just around the corner is a 24/7 modern supermarket. From the outside the hotel looks modern and has a bright reception area. The reception staff are very friendly. Once past reception it’s obvious that the hotel is in need of a complete renovation. There are two very small lifts, one of them has a very springy damaged floor! My room was large with a big double bed. There was a small refrigerator and a safe which was shut and would not open. Fortunately I didn’t need to use it. The furnishings were from the 1960s. The tv had only Italian channels. For a hotel expecting international guests surely there should be one in English. The bathroom was large but the shower was about one metre square with awkward concertina like doors. The water pressure was just about adequate. There was no plug in the sink. The air conditioning was fine but not brilliant in the 35 degree heat. The walls are very thin and you can almost hear your neighbours breathing! I didn’t have breakfast as I was quoted 16 Euro which I thought was expensive. I had a perfectly decent breakfast in a local cafe for half that. So the hotel needs some serious updating but the staff and location are great.
