From where the taxi dropped us off we had to walk down a step cobblestone alleyway with our luggage and then get our bags down a step stairway at the property's entrance. It is a recently renovated nunnery and while clean, it isn't fancy at all. The Italian hotel breakfast standard is super low, this was one of the better we had on our roadtrip, not saying it was that good. The hotel is great overall. It feels like it has just been renovated and cleaned. High standard facilities. My stay inside the hotel is nice and great. However, its so hard to go to hotel, from metro station, you need to walk 18 minutes to reach the place, not only that, its stairs going up the hill, i felt unsafe in the residential area especially im solo traveller with my heavy suitcase. Good thing Ather (one of the receptionists) helped me with my suitcase when going down the hill the next morning as its really struggle around the area. Hotel is a terrible hidden location, staff not interested in helping out, the shower so small that you can barley move,anyone bigger than sieze 18 or pregnant will not be able to get into cubicle. Room was basic, only one socket so I had to choose if I'm charging my phone or cooling the water in the small fridge. Had few questions about Naples/ hotel etc the guy at the reception was playing a game on the computer with headphones on..absolutely not interested in helping me felt like I was bothering him asking basic questions.I arrived in the evening and local shops were closed,was charged 2.5 euro for small bottle of water at the hotel! Its 0.35 in any shop. Couldn't wait to get out of there. Die äußere Erscheinung ist, typisch für Neapel, relativ marode. Von innen ist das Hotel jedoch recht neu und vor allem sauber! Ich hatte ein Zimmer mit Kühlschrank, Klimaanlage, seperaten Badezimmer mit Dusche und vor allem einer grandiosen Aussicht auf die Stadt und den Vesuv! Das Personal hat nicht komplett Englisch gesprochen, es war jedoch sehr herzlich und nett. Das Frühstück bietet, typisch für Italien, und im Vergleich zu deutschen Hotels, nicht sonderlich viel Auswahl, es reicht aber für einen guten Start in den Tag. Die nächste U-Bahn Station (Montesanto) ist fußläufig ca. 5 Minuten entfernt. Den Hauptbahnhof kann man, wenn es gut läuft, in ca. 15 - 20 Minuten erreichen. An- und Abreise funktioniert mit dem ÖPNV super! Ein teures Taxi vom Flughafen kann man sich z.B. sparen. Ich war alleine unterwegs, habe mich sehr wohlgefühlt und kann die Unterkunft jedem empfehlen! Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das italienische Frühstück war lecker. 😏 Die Betten ruckelten beim Umdrehen, die Schublade des Schrankes war kaputt und nicht zu gebrauchen. Das Hotel war schwierig zu finden, da hätte sicher eine gute Beschreibung in einem Mail im Voraus geholfen. Beschreibung ab Flughafen: mit Alibus oder shared Taxi (beides 5Euro) bis Piazza Garibaldi. Dort auf die Metro 2 Richtung Pozzuoli, aussteigen an der zweiten Station -Montesanto. Kurzer Fussweg (100m) zum Funicolare. Beim Tabbacchi erneut eine Karte lösen bis corso vittorio Emanuele. Wenn man dort rauskommt, rechts der Strasse folgen, beim Fussgänger überqueren und weiter in die gleiche Richtung gehen(ca.100 -150m).
