"Staff were nice enough but not overly helpful. We actually had two separate bookings. First one was for 2 days and then we added another day. We asked what rates were available as they had a few empty rooms. We actually ended up booking through Expedia again because it was quite a bit less than what they offered at the front counter. There was nothing being offered to guests at check in - water or a complementary drink like most other 4 star hotels in Europe. There was a foul smell in the lobby during the three days. The hotel seems to be relying on people willing to accept less than other comparable hotels due to its proximity to the Douro River. Great location but otherwise it’s an average hotel."

"WONDERFUL!!! All The Staff were Wonderful !!! The Location was Great! if the Rooftop had a handrail & foot tiles were abitmore secure but thats it, oh & if the ubers would Drop-off at hotel not down corner or down next block thank God we travel light."

"The hotel is conveniently located close to the city center. It has a very unique vibe and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. When we advised them we were leaving early in the morning to get the to Lisbon, and we would have missed breakfast, they prepared a small care package for the drive. We didn't ask for it, but they offered it. That's how amazing this hotel is. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great stay,"

"The room was spotless, if you can get over no natural light in the rooms, it is a great place to hangout. The staff are amazing and the bar downstairs is epic. The roof terrace is a great place to meet people and look out over the surrounding area."

"Excellent location, 100m from nearest metro station. Friendly helpful reception staff. Room clean, smallish, but functional. Beds a little bit hard, a bit noisy overnight, but you are in the centre of the city. Steps away from cafes, shops and the amazing market.."
