This hotel was beautiful. Keep In mind you do have to navigate some stairs, so make sure you indicate you need a bottom floor if that is a problem. Bed and shower were excellent- I’m picky about those two things. Breakfast was wonderful and so was the view!

I just attracted by the photos displayed on Expedia. Those pictures are so beautiful. Although the price is not nice I still placed the reservation. In fact the room is not the one in that beautiful building. The room looks like clean. The breakfast is okay. The services men is nice. But from first night we are attacked by mosquitoes and some other insects. We reported to the service lady on the morning of the second day. But the mosquitoes and insects enjoyed their blood food until we left from this room. My son has a competition during these three days. He felt itching during the competition. So bad experience.

We encountered several spiders and small bugs in the room and bathroom. Its nothing that can't be remedied by spraying inside rooms and getting rid of the spider webs on the outside walkways and around the building. The exterior of the buildings need tender loving care. The rooms were clean and breakfast was very good!

We stayed in the Cottage which was very nice, well appointed, clean and spacious. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We originally booked a standard room which is not in the original 1888 building but when we were shown the Cottage which is part of the original we upgraded and very happy we did.

This property is so nice, convenient and quiet. Beautiful and safe property and grounds. The rooms in the home section are spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was delicious and the items were tasty and plentiful.

This historic property is extremely well-maintained and very comfortable even for an extended stay. It is really the centerpiece of Anniston. Most of the staff were very helpful and pleasant after a bumpy check-in experience. Breakfast was generous if a little uneven. There are a few indications on Expedia that are not quite accurate anymore, but that doesn't take away from a generally very positive stay.
