I’ve never left a bad review before, but I feel like I have to for this. I was in Oxford to visit my daughter at Miami University for her sorority "Father's Day weekend" & just about everything locally was booked. I arrived, set my bag down, and sat on the bed. I was already disgusted with the property and room but after only 5 minutes, a big roach scurried past me ON THE BED. I swatted it off with my jacket & took a picture of it on the floor (I WISH I could post a pic here). I grabbed my bag and tried to check out. When I showed the lady the photo, she said, "but that’s an outdoor bug." I told her I was leaving, but she refused to give me a refund even after being there for a total of 15-20 minutes. The bed was still made, I hadn't used the bathroom. I ended up finding a room at the Comfort in just 2 min away. It was a little tired but it was the Taj Mahal as compared to the Oxford Inn but honestly, I would have preferred sleeping in the rental car over staying at this disgusting place. Although the property is older and could use some renovating, it was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The air conditioning worked great, and the beds & pillows were very comfortable. The door knob to the bathroom was broken and you could only get out if you turned it one direction,and there was 6 spiders in the bathroom,and we got up the next morning after not being able to sleep at all because the ac was broken and i couldnt hardly breath from being stopped up and sweetie getting ip ready to take a shower to find out that there wasnt any hot water at all.Told the manager about it after i stood in the main office for 10 minutes waiting for someone but i had to bet on the counter cause he was asleep in the next room and i told hi.
