While we didn't think this would be like a room at the Holiday Inn, we weren't prepared for the cute little room we got. The rooms are what used to be a RR station and have been upfitted with enough modern conveniences that you won't be disappointed - surprised, but not disappointed. Our room (and I assume the others are like this) was filled with gadgets, devices, and appliances that were vintage for the time the RR was operating and stopped there (think early 1900's). It was fun to try and figure out what these items were used for back in the day. They have WiFi, a refrigerator, a stove, and a microwave so you're not back in the 1900's yourself. It's an interesting mix of eclectic, nostalgic, and quaint. Very nice!

The staff were very friendly and nice. The place is dog friendly and even provide you with a free goodie bag with a poop bag container, treats and paw wipes. The pet fee is $30/night. The indoor pool and spa were refreshing and pool noodles were abundant. The best part was the easy access to the beach which was just a short walk. The downsides: the rooms were not very well marked. We were not the only ones who couldn’t find our room. To be fair there are two entrances to some of the rooms - the “main entrance” with the number and the patio or back entrance. The room itself was nice with a large mini fridge, TV and sitting area. The beds were comfy and had multiple pillows of different softness. It is a bit old. So the door to the bathroom made a loud creaking noise. The faucet was cheap and made a squeaky noise when turned on. And the fan in the bathroom never stayed on and would turn off after a couple of minutes. The sink area was also rather small. Otherwise a good experience but not necessarily worth the price tag at over $300/night.
