We hebben 9 dagen genoten van dit prachtige, ruime huis, met een enorm geschiedkundig verleden. Het terras aan de voorzijde van het huis is ruim, mooi en zonnig met een spectaculair uitzicht over de vallei. We hebben daar iedere ochtend ontbeten en bijna iedere avond gedineerd. Op andere avonden werden we allervriendelijkst ontvangen in een van de 5 restaurantjes van Ota. De woonkamer is met twee banken gemaakt om lekker voor de televisie te hangen, de keuken is klein maar fijn met een gezellige ronde tafel in het midden en de 3 slaapkamers zijn smaakvol ingericht, ruim en voorzien van prima bedden. Misschien iets te kort voor lange Hollanders als wij... De inrichting van het huis dat bestaat uit 3 verdiepingen sprak ons bijzonder aan. Patricia is ondanks haar andere verplichtingen een flexibele en opgeruimde vraagbaak en ook meneer de Benedetti is telefonisch goed bereikbaar voor raad, informatie en mooie verhalen over zijn illustere familie. Ota is een prachtig bergdorp, met net genoeg levendigheid. Porto vonden wij te toeristisch, maar vanuit Ota is al het moois dat deze unieke regio te bieden heeft prima bereikbaar. ##### Maaike V. We stayed here for two weeks this August and had one of the most enjoyable holidays that we've ever had. The house is very simple - a traditional Corsican village house with three double bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen and a lovely terrace with grapevines climbing across it. We stayed there with our two kids and another couple, and we were very comfortable. The village itself is gorgeous - nestled in the mountains with dramatic views of the craggy peaks. There's a river with swimming holes about a mile away from the house, and long walks up a dramatic gorge. There are a handful of restaurants in the village - the best of which is Chez Felix. It's about 15 minutes from Porto (touristy but with supermarkets etc), and about 20 mins from some very nice beaches (our favourite was the one just to the north of Porto - I can't remember the name offhand). The weather in mid August was about 27 degrees with a cooling breeze in the middle of the day. The house was a great base from which to explore, and also a relaxing place just to hang out. We really couldn't ask for anything more. Plus it was very reasonable. I would love to go back, and highly recommend it. ##### Ziggy H. Oct 15, 2010 #### vacances en famille Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances dans cette grande maison qui correspond exactement au descriptif fait par le propriétaire. Elle est propre et tres confortable.De plus la vue sur le village et les montagnes est magnifique.Le village est charmant, il y a 2 tres bons restaurants et une petite épicerie à meme pas 100 m de la maison. Nous avons pu faire de superbes balades , il y a énormement de beaux sites à découvrir. Nous avons également apprécié l'extreme gentillesse du propriétaire.
